thanks for the video. I know people be dissing this whole thing saying its too costly and all. all i gotta say is, some of us are smart enough to actually have the items needed around as is. This method should allow me to save the contents of more than 40 or so cans of spray paint that were effected by changing temperatures, and are rather full. I have a tire valve stem sitting around, and a compressor, so not only do i not need to buy anything, im also going to keep a good amount of more waste being created, and use the paint that has been made rather than another can going to the recycling full of paint, a wasted product.
you can also use a rubber tip air nozzle right on the plastic can tip to re-fill it with air and get the last of the oil out, old school shop trick, but for re-filling, that's awesome I will have to try that!
Hey, Klowny, I used your' idea yesterday after seeing your vid. I completely emptied an almost empty paint can and drilled a hole .213, #3 drill about 3" from the top. Flushed it through the drilled hole with Mineral spirits to clean out excess paint. I stuck a tire valve in the hole and soldered it with a soldering iron. Don't have to worry about flame that way. Put a little more spirits to clean nozzle. Put 90 lbs. air in through tire air fitting on the side. it is easier than trying to charge through top nozzle. I had an air gage I mounted on a tire nozzle for my lawnmower. It told me exact pressure. That way I don't lose any pressure while checking. Works great with water will try spraying paint tomorrow. I like my new refillable paint sprayer. Thanks.
Thanks for that tutorial! I had a few cans of WD40 with no air in them but half full of lube. They are all topped up and work great! Again thanks so much I had no idea you could do that! A+
wd 40 is known for that i have some wd40 cans around half full of fluid but no air. I don’t think i am going to buy wd40 again if they are going to do that.
Good info, thanks for sharing. A simple method I use to re-pressurize a can is simply (well first protect your face arms and hands) pull the top off, set compressor so you don't blow it up, take a rubber tip air gun apply air and depress top at the same time. Then you have the pressure to empty the lubricant or whatever was in it.
That's great! I didn't know it was possible. One caution though. When I was young I drove a garbage truck over the summer holidays and we used to pour gasoline on the piles of garbage at the dump and light them. At some point the aerosol cans would start to pop and I can confirm they're like BOMBS when they go off!!! So I'd go on the light side of the pressure you use if you do this.
great tip. here's one from a lazy old man... the tire valves come 2 to a pack. remove the Schrader valve, throw away. Now you have one for filling, one for adding the compressed air. :)
Brake cleaner always loses all its propellant sitting on the shelf. My cans have the reverse valve with the male tip on the spray nozzle. Even so, how would that tire valve be able to depress the can valve to allow this to work? Osmosis mebbe.
yes over pressure can be dangerous, we cannot fill em up full pressure, can must be rust free as well, but if we don't get too greedy with max pressure, things should be ok
The only thing is how do you get the paint into the can in the first place. And how much paint to how much air / how do you know right amounts even if you could fill a can up? Really cool video may give it a try to see how pro quality it comes out. Because getting tons of match paint in spray can form is difficult.
LOLOL well that's the first time i've ever had anyone say that to me, it's kinda a compliment since it's my wish to be atleast my average height's weight
I tried this with adding purple power to a former break cleaner can and I couldn't get it to fill. Why? Air wanted (but couldn't) to come out of the small plastic tube as the fluid tried to go in. I had to pull a vacuum on the can, then dip the tip in Purple power and let it suck in the fluid. it took 4 times to get the can to the 70% full. Pressurizing worked just as easy as you show. Next, I have a 1/3 full spray paint can that's lost its pressure over the years but the color matches something I've used before, so this is perfect and easy for that.
U think we can use compressed air at the gasoline station (for tyres) to fill up? Not sure if they are any stronger than compressed air from workshop compressors, but i have seen some small wheels exploded at the gasoline station before
I am wondering about a similar thing. I am wondering how the companies can put paint cans in spray can form. Like if i got to a local hardware store or paint store get a paint matched in a paint can form. Is there a simple way with an air compressor i could take an empty aerosol can and fill it up with paint and compressed air to make my own spray can bottles? Because it sucks buying all these spray can bottles if i can wash out clean and reuses with other paints to make all different color aerosol spray cans from scratch. Because some time its hard to get a paint match in spray can form. I could uses a method similar to this to convert from can form to aerosol can form
I love it. I have been in the automotive industry for many years and I love it when someone can find a way to modify something like that. I call it afro engineering.

The valve stem is pushing the nozzle open, which in turn will allow the fluid to go into the can. This is not a wise thing to do since each "can" will have a slight different pressure volume. Can easy burst these and not fun have metal stuck in you.
If the valve core is removed to fill the liquid, there is no valve stem. The white nozzle on the can needs to be pressed down to open the valve in the can, but there's nothing doing that, so there's really no way the fluid could have flowed into the can as shown. It really would have just flowed outside and spilled all over without the video editing cutaway to make it appear like it went in..
The stem is the black piece, the core is what is threaded inside the stem. If you notice and pay attention, he's using a tubeless type stem which gets snapped in place on a rim. Press down, it presses down on the stem on the can. Again, look closer. It can be done quite easily, it's not safe but, still doable. There are refillable spray cans available through auto parts stores, those are safer and better to use anyways. A normal can, will swell and shrink over time, eventually weakening and will explode in your hands.
Ok I tried exactly as you showed here (took core out and all) but I’m just trying fill an empty aerosol with water as a practice run but I’m using a plastic hose type thing that fits tightly to the outside of valve and other end to an empty slime flat tire tube sealant bottle but filled with water. The water will not transfer from slime tube into the can tho.. it just sits in the hose and won’t budge no matter how hard I squeeze. I also Tried just using sink to drizzle the water directly into the valve/can but it just fills the valve up and nothing goes into the can. I’ve tried just the valve stem straight out of package and I’ve also tried cutting off much of that bottom rubber and expanding the valve hole so aerosol tip fits snugly inside.. nothing is working. Liquid will not go into the can .. and of course yes can is empty of everything including air when trying all this. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Thank you for your help
ohh now i got it: when you push the tire valve down at 3:06 it pushes the can's valve down as well! it's possible to hear a little "pssst" at 3:07. very good!
couldn't you use a bicycle pump to put air back in? Most of em have locks and a gauge to check the pressure. Also have you ever put too much in there and had a can blow up on you?
evilcowboy Actually, the bottom will probably "oil can" out before the nozzle fails. At least, that's what happened to me when I left a spray paint can on top of a wood stove to heat the paint a little before spraying in my cold shop. It didn't blow up; it just pushed the bottom out.
so how does brake cleaner residue pan out with penetrating oil.. i would think it would make the oil useless. (at liest thats what i thought the can said..)
If you don't have an air compressor... (which most people don't have) You can fill it back up with compressed air by just going to a gas station that has an air hose for tires and use their hose to charge the can up. You'll have to check the air pressure to make sure you don't overcharge it of course but it beats buying an air compressor to save a few pennies on a spray can.
Yes: In fact I have one. Only the cost of buying a tire valve and a Schrader valve tool: you could re-use any spray can and fill them up with anything you want: But how many times does anyone use a spray can? I don't need this crap. You must be really lonely to troll something as trivial as this.
Lots of guys have lots of spare time. It's good that they use their spare time doing such trivial things 'stead of listening to the whisper of the devil. Look around you and see how the young men destroying the world. That's because they never heard the proverb - "An idle brain is Devil's workshop"

So if i want to put a powder into an aerosol can would that work? and can i use an electric pump like an air mattress pump, with a small pump needle, or does it have to be compressed air
I'm going to try this. One problem I have is that my spray paint cans seen to get stopped up somewhere in the line that runs from the bottom of the can up to the spray tip.
I use a large deodorant can that I completely removed the scent from. This can is used for storing extra butane from waste bottles of butane. Basically I heat up the nearly empty or "empty" butane can, and freeze the deodorant can. By using an adapter found in the cap is a butane can, I can transfer the gas without losing any.

Hey Klowny1969 (or chat) I really like what you did there but I would really be grateful if you could show me wherer to get that tool for removing the inner tire part.
if you take a five foot section three-quarter inch inner diameter air hose put a male quick disconnect on one end with your air Chuck on the other end you can put your fluid inside that 5 foot section and go directly through the valve stem saving a lot of time and effort you are very welcome
+Ricky Mcgrath use a clean designated section of Hose only for that purpose the hose is your Reservoir if you use a 5 foot section of hose you should have roughly 5 to 6 ounces or more of oil
+DeeJayMontevideo use a dedicated section of Hose the hose is your Reservoir put the fluid in the hose then attach it to the can it will go in directly
Why would you even when you could use a airbrush or paint spray? Probably you'd get 1 use, and you'd have to use it straight away as the paint would start to dry/cure as soon as it came into contact with the O2 in the compressed air.
theLuigiFan0007 My last airbrush cost over $500 (Iwata CM), and when I use that for fine detail I'll use nothing but canned air. My compressor might have triple filtering on the out line, but it nowhere near as clean as art quality canned air (HFC) which never blocks.

Once he said my own personal favorite lubricant the entire video seemed to be much funnier. The shitta valve, the squirter, insert in the hole, see how well it sprays, lube it, and the shoe's killed me.
i bought the tire stem and pressed it on the stem of my aerosol can. the tire stem does not actuate the aerosol can at all. I cut the rubber bottom completely off the tire stem and it still does not reach. Idk how you're doing yours, I have the exacts same can and it doesn't work at all.
good video, but what about those aerosol cans where there is no tube sticking out the top of the can...with some cans the tube is attached to the spray trigger and you just have a hole in the can after pulling top off
Wow, you just saved me a ton. One of my grandkids held 2 new cans of WD-40 upside down to blow balloons up... I thought I'd be going to prison for murder, but now I'll be laughing at them while I show them I know more than they thought I did. Okay, I really don't, but that'll be our secret, okay? Now off to walmart to get a couple of those tire valves. Too bad my compressor only goes up to 80lbs... But, I can always refill the cans, can't I... Cool tip. Subscription coming because, I know I want to.
Thought about it a little more in if your going to be doing a lot of spray can painting its probably better to just get the paint spray equipment and just can form but still cool because filling up stuff other then paint in aerosol form is a cool ability to have or beable to go from one form to another.
Nice shoes Klowny. The gas normally in the can is more compressible than air, so this won't last as long as the original fill. But air'll work in a pinch.
Ok Point (1) using an air gauge meter of any kind if there is still some residue product in the can (ie paint and such like) will clog up the gauge (2) Unless you have the correct equipment. your basically doing a pretty dangerous thing by filling the can with no safety equipment or barrier around it. Might i suggest filling inside a bucket and have a large cloth wrapped around it covering the entire can. just in case it explodes...... most of the cheap gauges are very inaccurate and can be as much as 10ibs out...
Cheap gauges don't seem to be held to any kind of tolerance concerning accuracy. I bought a new gauge from a certain cheap tool store and it was 10 pounds off. That's 33% in a tire that requires 30 PSI. Totally useless even if re-calibrated because there's no guarantee it will retain any kind of accuracy. IF the regulator on your compressor is accurate, forget the tire gauge.
This is the easiest method yet. I prefer super easy for the occasional recharge/refill of a can. Thanks for sharing!

thanks for the advice and watching my video :)
will that work with any can of spray? like wd40?
How does the liquid go in by gravity? What is pushing on the cans nozzle to keep it open?
The valve stem is pushing the nozzle open, which in turn will allow the fluid to go into the can. This is not a wise thing to do since each "can" will have a slight different pressure volume. Can easy burst these and not fun have metal stuck in you.

There are refillable spray cans available through auto parts stores, those are safer and better to use anyways. u can fill the can with anything..thnx for watching
seems pretty iffy on the filling part..great idea how do you know exactly how much air to add to keep from the can exploding?
Can use guage and fill like i said in video..thnx for watching
does the fluid flow that easily inside the can? isn't there inside a check valve or something?
when u press down it goes in pretty smoothly...yeah babee

Where can you buy the Trizol?
couldn't you use a bicycle pump to put air back in? Most of em have locks and a gauge to check the pressure.
Also have you ever put too much in there and had a can blow up on you?
evilcowboy i dont think thats possible, the weakest point is the nozzle, so it would fail there before blowing up. But i could be wrong. =P

if you take a five foot section three-quarter inch inner diameter air hose put a male quick disconnect on one end with your air Chuck on the other end you can put your fluid inside that 5 foot section and go directly through the valve stem saving a lot of time and effort you are very welcome

Hey Nice shoes, My dad had a pair back in the 20s. no one messed with him.. Sweet.
Yeah baby
would this work for spray-paint?
Yes it will
@@klowny1969 thanks
Great Video. I will try this magic trick on my tools. Thanks for posting.
Awesome thanks for watching
How about a syringe from a veterenerian to fill the can with fluid?
yes that would work..thanks for watching and commenting
Very cool. I hadn't realized these could be refilled.
Yep..thnx for watching
Once he said my own personal favorite lubricant the entire video seemed to be much funnier. The shitta valve, the squirter, insert in the hole, see how well it sprays, lube it, and the shoe's killed me.
Sooo, if you dont have an air compressor, could you ,theoretically, use a bicycle pump?
Probably
does this work on a mini can 12ml(
Good job.....
I will try it.....So I will put in there like 80 psi or 90 right? thank... you.....good one....thumbs up!!
Hey can this be used for spray paint
Yes it can..and thanks for watching
i bought the tire stem and pressed it on the stem of my aerosol can. the tire stem does not actuate the aerosol can at all. I cut the rubber bottom completely off the tire stem and it still does not reach. Idk how you're doing yours, I have the exacts same can and it doesn't work at all.
Sometimes even clowns have great advice. Thanks! I used it on a very expensive $30 auto base coat can that lost pressure.
i first thought what an asshole!! then i saw the clown shoes i lmfao
6:40 Now you have your personal lubricant in aerosol form! What could be better! The possibilities are endless.
finally somebody that understands me!!!!
This guy works smarter, not harder. All of the other videos show people drilling holes into the can and putting on a tire valve. smh
Great video content, love the ronal mcd shoes!
Thank you!!
fun facts... does Ronald McDonald know you stole his shoes?
Was thinking the same thing lol
HAHA I made a similar comment, about the shoes ...
good video, but what about those aerosol cans where there is no tube sticking out the top of the can...with some cans the tube is attached to the spray trigger and you just have a hole in the can after pulling top off
U can try sticking a blow gun with a rubber tip on the nozzle and press down while blowing the air in..thnx for watching
can i use this for refill my aerosol paint?
yes maam
i would have thought because of the size of the can tube there would be an airlock....?
Klowny comes thru with another dope idea! Thx man!
Lol thanks for watching
Sure it is! Thanks a lot from Panama; such a good idea. Kudos!!!
thanks for watching
Awesome, I was about to put a hole on some of my WD40. Thanks.
lol thanks for watching
i just seen your klown shoes love it dude you histerical im all subbed up brother !!
Cool tip. Subscription coming because, I know I want to.
lol yes! thanks for watching and subscribing
ha ha ha!! "...this is my favorite personal lubricant, penetrating oil" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
thanks for watching
Lmfao
lub and penetrate do make a sentence, you dirty mind lol
Please name of every nozzle available in easyly
If i don't have an air compressor could i use a bike pump
Yes u can..thanks for watching
MAN! NICE SHOES!!! Thanks for the video.
But air'll work in a pinch.
thanks for watching and commenting
how to refill thick lube in empty aerosol can?
Wow Klowny That's amazin'! I've never thought that to be possible. COOL!
thanks for watching and commenting
Can i melt the Gushers Candy into a liquid goo and fill a can and spray people with candy?
Ok Point (1) using an air gauge meter of any kind if there is still some residue product in the can (ie paint and such like) will clog up the gauge
(2) Unless you have the correct equipment. your basically doing a pretty dangerous thing by filling the can with no safety equipment or barrier around it.
Salamat(Tagalog)= thank you for sharing tips.

Great info and well displayed with great explanation! How do you know how much fluid to use?
Thanks👍 I️ have a full bottle of shave cream that I️ thought was a lost cause. I️’m going to try this on it soon.
just love the shoes ,class .
