ESPN Classic's "Who's Number 1?" series counts down the most lopsided trade transactions in North American sports history. This episode originally aired in 2006.
1991: The Penguins trade John Cullen, Zarley Zalapski, and Jeff Parker to Hartford for Ron Francis, Ulf Samuelsson, and Grant Jennings. That turned out to be the final piece of the puzzle for the Pens. Also, that same year, Blues GM Ron Caron flushed his team's Stanley Cup chances down the drain when he sent Cliff Ronning, Geoff Courtnall, Sergio Momesso, and Robert Dirk to Vancouver for Dan Quinn and aging D Garth Butcher.
1976- the Houston Oilers traded their 4th round pick to Seattle for an 8th round draft pick that never played for Houston That 4th rounder the Oilers gave away? Steve Largent
Not only that, but Sid Gillman made some other bad trades a few years before that (as Oiler GM). First off, he traded HOF S Ken Houston to Washington for six average guys. Then, he traded the #1 overall pick in 74 (Too Tall) to the Cowboys for Tody Smith, Billy Parks, and a third-rounder. They could have had Too Tall, Ken Houston, and Steve Largent when they faced those Steeler teams, and they didn't.
The St. Louis hawks trade is unfair tbh, st. Louis wantee him but they would lose fans because russell was black. They lost their team due to lack of intrest so its a whammy either way.
You know what’s pretty nuts about this 28:14 Joe was at the end of the day a much better player than Parish. Idk why ppl forget that hahaha it’s wild. His rookie season was better than parish’s BEST season. Parish was in a better system. Parish was very good. Carrol was at the end of the day better. And played their scheme much better. Parish wouldn’t have been able to single handedly put up the numbers Carroll did
They got McHale and Parrish for Joe Barry Caroll...Boston got 2 HOFs, the Warriors got a guy who didn't always give maximum effort and is known as Joe Barely Cares...
Herschel Walker trade was the worst trade in NFL history.

Kobe saying they traded me is ridiculous. He forced his way out 100%

Consider this, though: Red wanted to get Ralph Sampson to come out after his freshman year at Virginia. Imagine a healthy Ralph with Bird and Maxwell.
