as Levar and Mike noted, hub bore is 69.5. In my view, you are going a little low on offset, but much depends on how wide you want the tire wnd wheel. you are correct about 10” wheels being possible, I run 10.5” wheels without issue. I really enjoy your videos.
Good video bro everything you said is 100% legit. I went with a +30mm offset after researching for a year or so on offsets and reading all the comments about not being able to do certain offsets or you will rub so bad its ridiculous and you will have to take off the wheels or roll fenders and so on and so forth. Im driving an M6 04 GTO and I have drag bags 18X8.5 255/40/18 +30mm offset rear and the front is 245/45/18 same offset and wheel width and mine rides like a dream ESR brand wheel was the first brand I was going to go with but they had sold the last set I was going to get so I went with another brand that NOBODY has on their goat BUT I'm happy as can be with 6 years of looking for the rims to go on it that I did. It was well worth the final set I chose and didn't spend to much money and get compliments every time I go out and they are 10 pounds lighter than stock and are bigger wheels so win win. Keep up the good videos and good job on the GOAT stay safe out there.
Great videos Trey. Curious to know if you have tried 19s on your GTO and some feedback on this. Great car and love all the info your throwing out on our cars.
So glad I went with the 18" VZ wheels from Australia back in the day for my 2004. They fit the GTO perfectly and look so much better than anything else I have seen aftermarket. Not fitment problems at all. IMO your wheels look ok but IMO the VZ wheels look much better. Of course they are not available for a long while now.
2 questions. What made you go from supercharger to Turbo? Have you noticed any miles per gallon change from the switch? Turbo more efficient? I know fuel economy is not the main reason to build something but it's nice not spending a hundred bucks every time you drive across town you dig. I've been thinking about going with the rear mount setup I have a 3rd gen Camaro with an LS2 aluminum block and they don't recommend going over 550 wheel horsepower so I'm kind of limited
Had to buy a couple of set of wheels to experiment with offset. My first set I was way off with only a + 15 front and back. Only reason I bought them was because I got such a good deal. The next set I was still worried about the front being + 35 and the back is + 40. The fronts are 19 by 8.5 with 245 35 19 tires. They are perfect unless your car sits very low then fender rolling would have to be done. The backs are 19 by 9.5 with 275 30 19 which are perfect but once again if you set real low you're going to have to Fender roll. But this for me with the GTO seem to be the perfect match but you definitely can't go any less than 35 in the front and 40 in the back. Really needs to be 50 in the front and probably 50 in the back but with our lug pattern at 5x120 we don't have many options and a lot of the wheels I found were low offset.
i strongly suggest install some sticky tire and film 30 roll to 140 plus mph speed odometer videos at wide open throttle in streets of mexico ! 😀 let us see that lsa in acction please 🙏
I did a custom 18x9.5 and 10.5 on my gto like 5 years ago lol. Shits easy if you do basic math and buy a good wheel that they will do custom offsets on. I was probably 1 of the first to do it with just a roll.
Mine are 245/35/17 fronts and backs are 315/35/17. No clue what offset means and all the tire language all I know is, my tires are huge and so many people give prompts
Hey Im thinking about the 18X8.5 Foose Black Rims, I love the low stance, how low do you think I could go without the rub with these rims and a regular size tire for them? Your the expert so I am waiting, your on the clock now!!!1
Progressive One you can slam it, but it all depends on the offset of the wheels! The higher the offset the easier and less modifying you have do with the fenders. A lot of factors come into to play, are you on coil overs, what size tires, do you care about traction etc...
can you tell me what offset you went w for the front n the rear i seen 2 of your video n you’ve said +35 then +40 which one is it bro i want the same look😞
Trey Herrera just busting your balls. I always go by back space so not sure about offsets. My dailys are Cv8R wheels which are the same as oem 18s. I run 285x35x18s on the back. My drag pack is 17x9.5 with 7.3 BS darkstars with 275x40x17 street ss and 18x5 with 3.25 BS up front. I have the same outlook it's your car do what you want.
Trey Herrera i think i have room to go bigger. I have pedders drag springs and shocks and shocks with bags but don't have any air in the bags and fenders are cut. Send me a friend request on FB Joe VerCammen i have pics of both setups
Intro music is not bad but once you start talking I think the music should stop. Not a fan of music going on while the person is talking or during the video. It's just majorly annoying IMO and many I've talked to feel the same. I want to hear the info, not the background music involved. I quit this video early because the music just kept going and going while you were talking. I just gave up!
My Boy Trey!! Much appreciated GTO knowledge. Keep em coming!
Jonathan Butler thanks! And I will

intros all the way!!! thanks for the info. I was wondering about the specs for the wheels you have. I love the look. keep them videos coming.

Hector Salinas I been holding off because I’m in the process of getting a GoPro it’s hard to film those by myself but soon!

Boosted GTO haha I didn’t mean to! A lot of people told me I couldn’t run any offset lower then 40 lol
