Bob Dylan - Live in Niagara Falls - 1975/15/11 (Rolling Thunder Revue) [AUDIENCE RECORDING]

- This one of the top 5 Rolling Thunder Concerts I've heard. Unfortunately, it is an audience tape so the quality isn't as high as a soundboard recording would be. There is currently no soundboard recording known to exist of this show. Still, there's something beautifully haunting about audience tapes; I've experienced more emotion and nostalgia listening to these old bootlegs. Not to mention, it's very interesting to hear what the audience has to say. For example, a person close to the taper, possibly even the taper themselves, jokingly cries out, "Judas!" at 58:40, in reference to the infamous electric concert at Free Trade Hall nine years earlier.
Below is the setlist. "Romance In Durango" had to be edited out due to a copyright claim. Nothing else from the original tape has been edited.
SETLIST:
0:00 - When I Paint My Masterpiece
4:01 - It Ain't Me, Babe

1:24:43 "Is that Joni Mitchell?" "Yeah".
My dad was at this concert, invited my brother and I to go but we were 13 and 11 year old Kiss and Alice Cooper fans and Bob Dylan was old fogies music, we laughed at him and declined the offer. Oops. But I've seen Dylan 13 times since 1986 (woke up and became a Dylan fan in my high school years)... and of those 13 times 6 of them were with my dad.
I was 8 When I first listened to Dylan's songs sung by Joan Baez. A year later, in 1975 my brother bought 'desire' and I first hated his voice, but the music was magical I kept listening to him till I fell under his voice's spell I think I'm an English teacher because back then, I desperately wanted to learn the meaning of his songs. Eventually I went to see Renaldo & Clara and I loved it,very much.Joan taught me how to sing and Dylan taught me how to face this World and much more. Thanks for this precious recording!
It sounds like from a last century, but has the strength to restart for a new time after Corona - Bob always creates the atmosphere of a hopeful departure and thus meets any hostility
This is the evening show. The afternoon show had Like A Rolling Stone instead of Knocking On Heaven's Door.
I was at this show!! So great to hear it now. First time I saw Bob Dylan . I was 15 years old. Thanks so much for posting it!

What a great performance! Cheers to all you good folks, February 2021!
Absolutely true! The nostalgic feeling...I love this recording and those like it. It is much more reminiscent of actually being there. Of course a "nice cleaned up" recording is great, but I honestly believe this is somehow better! Thanks SP as always, take care and be well... debs

Fantastic!! I'm am emotionally yours SP. He omitted the same verse in Tangled up in blue as he did in the known video. Always wanted to know if he had done it on porpuse or not. Guess I know now. Thank you very much!!!
Which line is that seba?
@@Rilez616 is an entire strophe, but I don't know if is correct to say verse or strophe because I'm not a native speaker. Is the following:
She lit a burner on the stove and offered me a pipe
"I thought you'd never say hello, " she said
"You look like the silent type"
Then she opened up a book of poems
And handed it to me
Written by an Italian poet
From the thirteenth century
And every one of them words rang true
And glowed like burning coal
Pouring off of every page
Like it was written in my soul from me to you
Tangled up in blue
This is so good!!!

It's not really mono, is it SP?
What's all this "honey" stuff in the comments, must be flavour of the month rhetoric, follow the sheep kids, as you will, by the way great music, great Bob!
