It's wonderful that Dylan was able to reclaim this song. He's clearly engaged. That's not always so easy after the glow of a creation wears off. You see it over and over in live performance. It's very difficult to invoke a real emotion after the inspired moment has passed. Some performers are better at it than others, but it's obvious when you're just acting out the drama and emotion rather than actually experiencing it. Ten years or more after he wrote it he was able to bring it to life again. That's why Bob is amongst the Gods
My favorite version too but still love the one at the march. Love love love Rolling Thunder period. Just love Bob Dylan PERIOD. Best artist ever lived!!!
That Rolling Thunder Drip is next level even for a stylish dude like Bob. 🔥 Trivia: the get-up was a homage to Baptiste, the famous 19th-century French mime immortalized in the 1948 film Les Enfants du Paradis.
This is definitely his best version of this incredible song, which Hunter. S. Thompson dedicated his Masterpiece Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. At the beginning of Hunter's classic book he dedicates his book to Bob Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man.
This is quite touching to me. I'm currently at my dads and moms for Christmas and I just found an old cassette tape called "Drive Mix 1." My dad was a young driver and did a couple of races around some tracks in cars he drove. He had enough money for a car of his own because he drove his dads bronco all the time and would often get tickets because he was going to fast. My grandma always said to me, "your father was born to put his foot on a gas pedal." and he drove all across the country and he had this mix and It ain't me babe by Dylan was at the end of the tape. He said he favorite artist of all time was Dylan. His one and only wish is to see him in concert. Thanks Scorsese for letting my father and I experience Dylan, even if its not in person.
Hey buddy, I really love and support you! Never forget that you are never alone or without a friend. Always have faith in who you are! You are worth all the beauty this world has to offer. Much love buddy ❤
I'm sure your dad and yourself have gotten great pleasure from another great music documentary from the brilliant Martin Scorsese about the great Bob Dylan. I have just recently bought the dvd. It's brilliant.
Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man is such a beautiful song poem to remember your dad by. This is my absolute favorite Bob Dylan song out of the 100's he's written!

What chords is it? C,F and G with an A minor? This is my favourite version of Tambourine Man. It's on Bootleg 5. Just a simple, but magical version that only Bob can create. Sorry it won't be A minor, it will be a D minor won't it?
Oh I bet Bob remembers more than he claims....if he can remember all the lyrics to his songs well enough to play around with with them lyrically when playing live he certainly remembers alot about every phase in his life, at least more than he lets on haha

I’ve heard several different reasons and I don’t think that anyone knows for sure. I’ve heard that he did it so the people in the back of the hall could see his face standing out under the lights. I’ve heard he did it to hide his face which is possible because he’d come out on stage on this tour wearing a clear mask. I’ve heard it was for an undeveloped idea for his character he was playing in the making of Renaldo and Clara. I’ve also heard he got the idea from Kiss and vice versa. But I think most likely it was a form of commedia. The whole tour had a carnival like feel.
The man that writes the perfect lyrics for American and what it could mean... I wish it could do that again... you just need to vote for Trump... I know he doesn't seem to the solution, but he is not going to earn money for being president (which all previous presidents have done and have become millionaires for some reason???) - vote for someone who won't gain!!!! Trump (Elon will ditch the chaff and Kennedy will sort the health out)... sorry didn't mean this to be a political post but my god... it is really obvious where you (the freedom country of the world) needs to demonstrate and lead!
"High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) became prevalent in the U.S. during Richard Nixon's presidency, largely due to his agriculture secretary, Earl Butz. In the early 1970s, Nixon aimed to reduce food prices to gain political support, leading Butz to encourage farmers to grow corn on a massive scale 1 2 . This resulted in a surplus, prompting the development of HFCS as a cheap alternative to sugar 2 3 . By the mid-1980s, HFCS had replaced sugar in many products, contributing significantly to the obesity epidemic" 1 What?!

He wont be around forever so people should let him know how much his art is appreciated while we are still blessed to still have him here///
Yes, I would describe him as a 'troubadour,' but a 'Troubadour for All The Ages'!
Bob is such treasure, paints such a beautiful picture with words.
i wasn't ready for this version of the song when i first watched rolling thunder. it hit me with a wallop that brought me to the verge of tears.
Yes, this version has a sense of nostalgic sadness to it of a bygone era.
"It happened 40 years ago, I was'nt even born" This quote alone should everyone make dealing with his art.
