@@cdanny1717 🤣🤣🤣. The hybrid system has always been ECVT. It’s a a cvt in the conventional sense It’s a planetary gear set ran by MG1 for ratios and a sun gear. There is absolutely no belt or cones.

I think you made a clever decision by buying the all new Camry because you will most likely barely have any issues and save tons of money over the long term on gas
I get why people would want a pano roof but I’m sorry, for me, I don’t want a giant hole in my roof. Best way to avoid those issues is to just get a model without, it’s not like you NEED the other features higher trim models offer, although nice to have. If you’re fine with dealing with potential issues down the line, go ahead but if not, probably skip out on it. And if you got the first cars of a new generation, you kind of accept that you might potentially have issues. In general from my experience of owning Toyotas, the refresh versions to the last year of production are the best ones to buy.
@@tmyere.The engine in these new 2025 Camrys is the same as the 2018-2024 Camry hybrids I believe. I’m pretty sure the combined power is up a little but I think that’s due to tweaked electric motors/the battery or something along those lines. Double check that, I might be wrong.
@@tmyere.the engine is the same as the previous Gen it’s a carry over, but the hybrid system is the 5th generation that’s out in the new Prius, Lexus UX and Corolla Cross hybrid. Basically the electric motors are more powerful and the traction battery is more energy dense but the eCVT planetary drivetrain is the same as all other eCVTs. Most of this car is carryover from the Gen 8 hybrids.

Whenever I see a less popular car around (like a K5), I get more excited. I'm not hating on the Camry. It's popular for a reason and I do like some aspects of it over the K5 and Sonata. Plus Toyota's reliability is among the best.

It’s a great choice if it’s made and designed and engineered right I own an 8th gen v6 w the pano roof and while mine hasn’t had any issues I know a lot of owners with this feature are having problems with it closing or it getting misaligned because they went over a bump. And the cost to fix it is about a third of the cost of what you would have paid for the car
@@lionintu to fix the pano roof it’s over 10-12k. Thank goodness that hasn’t happened to me yet and thank goodness I bought the platinum extended warranty

@@normanli7085 the 8th gen Camry has a red interior too. I know because I have one The new infotainment is nothing to write home about. They got rid of the physical shortcut buttons. And there’s no Home Screen. Oh and the nav is no longer built in. Why offer an OEM nav if it’s not even built in the first place? Also the new model has more shiny black plastic on the center console, the center panel above the glove box, the steering wheel Oh and the 8th gen doesn’t have the annoying drive monitor behind the steering wheel like the new one does. And I’ve heard people complain about it in the new RX And the feature set is the same as the 8th gen
I drive a 2009 Camry V6 I inherited from my dad. It still looks great and works flawless. With proper care I think even my daughter will be able to drive it, she's 2. It has never t let us down.

Not because the new Accord is so bad, it’s easy to beat, but because Toyota took their time and carefully designed the new generation Camry, without having to fix what wasn’t broken. Unlike Honda, Toyota cared to offer conveniences to every occupant in their new Camry.
