That's local ironstone used in all those Thorpe Malsor buildings - ah, you trumped me to it! There's another site nearby which may well be of interest and that's at Kestrel Caravans on Warkton Lane, Kettering. The marbles in Warkton Church are stunning and you're a stone's throw from Boughton House too. :)
Great stuff, might check that out at some point, Shropshire for the next trip though 🙂
