- We must be mad but we decided to sneak one last camping trip in the big tent at a place called New Lodge Farm near Bulwick in East Northamptonshire before the really cold weather closes in. Yes it rained and it blew a gale but we did get some sunshine too. There were some lovely places to visit and we had a fabulous time. All the usual nonsense ensues in this vlog! We might even chance another trip in our little tent before Christmas!

It was my mums funeral today and it was so nice to be transported to camping for a while which we loved doing as a family growing up. Her favourite flower was a sunflower so that was beautiful to see thank you 🙏🏻Dilly dilly

I agree - it's a very pretty area and near some interesting places (e.g. Rutland Water). It's not somewhere I'd have ever chosen to visit so thanks for opening my eyes. :)
Think we might be doing this again late this season or we may go back to Fotherighay, both are great

Fab vlog... I've been to the viaduct but not Rutland, I'd love to go there and take a boat out.
That campsite looked great.
I love chicken supreme,I try to always have a tin or chicken in white wine sauce, as it's great for a back up meal. My kids say it's student food, haha.

Great fun video, I forgot to mention my sage plant and butterfly bushes keep mice and rats and possums out of my front yard. Love the way you camp.
When we camp it's like moving house with all the stuff we bring ha ha

Didn't get to do our normal camping this year for health reasons. Missed it terribly, but camping vicariously through you and Lee was wonderful. Cheers! PS, please tell me you went back and got the tent to put up and dry out properly. You don't want a moldy tent 😱

Unfortunately it's rain here for the next few days so it's not going to dry and of course we can't pitch it outside the boat as there is nowhere near enough room. We did dry as we packed as much as we could but once we have a few sunny days we'll try and get it properly dry somehow.

Actually you also mentioned that you put your tent in storage? What sort of facility do you use, and is it expensive?
We use something called Ready Steady Store but I have to be honest, storage is not cheap, costs us abount £130 per month and it just seems to keep going up and up.
@@TheVlogCoupleUK That's a lot of money, and as you say costs always go up. That's one of the reasons I'm now looking into buying a tent instead of a caravan - I would have needed to pay for storage if I had a caravan but can store the tent at home (not that I've a lot of space, but it's do-able).
