    Very informative video. I watch alot of reviews on Muay Thai equipment. Your videos are hands down the most in depth and thoughtful. I have been training for years and have used almost every brand discussed. You're completely on point with your reviews. One brand I have not tried,but have seen around, is DE. You have convinced me to purchase some of there equipment. Thank you for your videos. Keep them up.

    Great video, On 8:00 I actually wear that Hayabusa model Purposely .... So I can get some feed back when I kick people's elbow or knee so I can learn from it >.> But yea, just preference

    "MMA Style Shin Guards" are good for one thing only... stalling to re-adjust your gear because they won't stay put when you want them too, then the neoprene sticks like glue when you try to peel it off.

    Great review! Do you know the difference between the twins sgl3 and sgl10? And are the sgl3 shorter than the sgl2?

    I hope that they open a fight store pro shop in Birmingham and one in Erdington as it would cost me nearly 50 pounds to get there by coach and over one hundred pounds on the train

    Great review. Looking to get the DE shinguards; at 5ft 11 would you recommend the Large?

    Hey Alex, I'm looking into the Fairtex Twister (SP7). I'm 6"2, should I get the large or X-Large?

    • @FSPRO
      @FSPRO  6 років тому

      Hi there, I'd be heading towards the XL but to be double-sure you should measure your shin, from bottom of knee to where your lower leg meets your foot. If you e-mail us at info@fightstorepro.com we can then come back to you with some thoughts. Like most Fairtex products at the moment, stock is extremely limited across the UK but we are waiting on a big restock at the end of this month. Justin

    Great review, I've been using the sock design for years (rogue) and want to step up the protection due to constant injuries, which would you say is better for protection especially around the upper shin / knee area, the twins sgl2 or the de? Also do you sell the twins double padded guard or have an opinion on that? Is it an sgl2 with extra padding? Cheers

    I use hypnotik shin guards for my muay thai training. I only bought because it was 60 bucks and fight tips UA-cam channel plugged it.

    I'm female, 5"1 and ~100 lbs. I have looked at sizing charts online and I'm concerned that many shin guards will be too large on me. Do you have any recommendations for a particular brand or a particular model of thai-style shin guards that would be more likely to fit someone of my size? My shin (top of foot to bottom of knee cap) is about 13 inches.

      Courtney Brooks just get the smallest size. Its not a huge deal if theyre too big.

    • @FSPRO
      @FSPRO  7 років тому

      Twins SG8 are really small so a small or medium would probably work for you and I agree ignore size charts most of them are terrible!

    Thanks for the review Alex! I'm about 5 9 or 10 and I was wondering if I got the Twins SGL2 would I be better off getting the medium size? Or if I got the SGL3 since it's smaller should I get the large? Thanks

      I would probably err on the side of the :L but check out the Danger version too as they are an updated version in many ways. SGL3 are great for the more expert user

    any thoughts on the twins sgl10 shin pad and other brand styles similar?

  • @qbasmokable
    @qbasmokable 6 років тому

    hi man cool video, but im interested in sgl10 twins. im 5'10 and im really torn between whether i should go with M or L. Ive read M is for 5'8 or smaller, but also ive heard large size runs huge and there is nothing worse than too big gear that you have to adjust after every kick. i cant actually try them on anywhere around, becasue here is no shop providing twins equipment. would appriciate any kind of advice. cheers!

    • @FSPRO
      @FSPRO  6 років тому +2

      Hi there, always a tough one choosing the right size shin. We find people like different things - shin to to sit beneath the knee cap or just over it etc. By the description you give, you do sit awkwardly between the size ranges - a M might therefore site a little below the cap. The Large doesn't run that much more - couple of inches maybe. And also keep in mind (proper) Thai kit is generally made for a smaller frame. If it's any guidance, we sold a Large in the shin to a customer of the same height and he says it's perfect! We're just getting a new Twins delivery too: www.fightstorepro.com/brands/twins-boxing-equipment.html?search_type=299

    Which shin guard with the knee protection would you recommend???

    • @FSPRO
      @FSPRO  7 років тому

      Probably the Topking Standard version, Danger evolution or Revgear Thai original. The Fairtex SG8 I haven't properly looked at yet but I can't see the protruding bit at the side anything but annoying. Hayabusa and Venum can't make shin guards and RDX well......are RDX

    You can strike with the knee with the sp5?

    • @FSPRO
      @FSPRO  7 років тому +1

      You can but I'd look at a shin like the Fairtex SG3 without the knee raise

    I hate people sparring with competitions shin guards on .I have had people say that they have chosen them because they want to condition there shins if you want to condition your shins go on the heavy bag you can't condition your shins on your sparring partner this has always been from people who are new
