- Hello there and welcome to my video. In this video, I was going to fix another Dell OptiPlex 7050 that I bought off of eBay as a broken computer. But then, something unexpected happened and my plans had to change.

Some sellers probably have stacks of these and just say they're not working because they don't bother to test each one to be actually sure if it works or not,they only want to get rid of them

I definately know that feeling! I love buying "broken" comouters for cheep! I want them to just magickally work, so that I can sell them for a profit! However I also want the challenge of fixing them up!

I think some sellers consider no drive as "broken" just to get them moved
can only say you're a lucky guy paying the price for a damage pc but getting a working pc, not bad at all.
That cooler fan only attaches to the cooler.
Remove cooler hold-down bolts and the thing come out as one complete unit.
Of course, to really check things and do a “deep-dive” refurbish, then yeah remove fan from cooler.
A friend with a stock of electronics of unknown functionality, had two choices. Test everything to see what works. Or sell them as "parts." Takes less time to sell these as "parts." There is no down side. Either Buyer receives an "as described" non-functional item. Or the item is functional; and the buyer is happy. Who then thinks the seller may be other functional parts, and buys more.
Certainly does make sense to do it that way, probably why that happened.

That's interesting. I guess the seller assumed it was broken and did not check to see if it was broken

Yep, this is the SFF version of the 7050
It could have been the ram stick that was not seated correctly. that lead the seller to believe it was not working. Could have been an intermittent issue.

This is i hate the dell use the Official BIOS, lenovo and samsung or asus BIOS better than this one
