Hello. What specs have the Panolin oil? It's very dificult to find it here in Romania and I'm searching for an alternative, maybe Rockshox/Fox oil etc.. ?
Can you adjust the travel of this fork ? If so, a video explaining how would be awesome. Thank you I have this fork in 27.5 but when I let all the air out I get around 140mm travel with 20mm of Stanchion showing and won’t go any further. When I have it pressurized to my weight I only get about 120mm travel . Is this normal ? Or should I be getting the 140mm of travel
Hi Matt, thanks for your message. the 27,5 ODL fork can extend from 130 to 150mm in the trail version, you say yours is set at around the 140mm mark. Please confirm if you have any air tokens in the fork and also what sag you are using. Also confirm when the fork was last serviced. Possible issues are too much air pressure or too many tokens or there is too much oil in the lowers from incorrect servicing or leaking damper.
Hi and thanks for your question, I highly recommend that that lower leg service is done every 50 hours or at least every 6 months. If not the oil in the lowers will dissipate or become dirty and this will effect the life and function of the fork.
Thanks for your awesome tutorial! I'd like to know if I need to put any grease inside the forks or it's just oil. I disassembled mine but looks that there was a kind of grease after the second bushing. It was the first time that the fork was disabled.
Hi thanks for your message and support of our channel. Ok so there should not be any grease in the DT Swiss OPM fork lowers. the bushings and stanctions are designed to run on a film of oil which will allow the two parts to move smoothly without touching. Please use only the recommended oil - we use the r.s.p (Rock Shox) 0w30 oil as its not as thick as the Fox 20W so the fork is more sensitive. Once you have opened the fork and dropped the lowers, please clean out the older oil and grease and replace the foam wipers if you are not replacing the dust wiper seals.
@@RBC_tech thanks for your reply! I live in Brazil and original DT Swiss fork oil is quite hard to find here. I didn't find any specification/grade of the oil used in this forks. I know that the best is to use the lubricant recommended by dt swiss, but could I use rock shox 0W30 in the lower leg without problem? Thanks and greeting from Brazil!
Thanks Robbie for that in-depth tutorial! 👌
My pleasure!

where can I buy a service kit for this shock absorber?
Good clear explanation, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Tem algum vídeo mostrando a revisão na parte hidráulica dela ?
Hi Kitinho to bleed the fork you need the correct tools and oil. without this there will be an air gap and no lockout and poor damping performance.

7ml per side
Desmontei a minha ,que já não estava travando,
Fiz limpeza, troquei o óleo, memso assim não trava
Which DT Fork do you have?
Is that necessary to do it every 50 hours? I think it´s okay every 2 years

@@CIOMAR999 Hi hope you are enjoying the summer? Ok so the Rock Shox 0W30 is perfect to use on the DT Swiss lower legs, no problem there.
@@RBC_tech pretty hot Summer! Thanks for your attention and advices! You rock!
