I have been using sketchup for personal use for years on and off.It is hands down the most intuitive architectural program ever developed.I highly recommend these tutorials to learn how to draw construction documents the right way ,to save yourself unnecessary grief when you advance with SketchUp later on. Thanks for sharing.

I like how you explain everything thoroughly. Not boring. Like a teacher who can always get his students' attention so easily. Even some small details that I thought you would forgot to say. I've been using Sketchup for 11 years (started with Google SketchUp 8) until now, and every time I watch your video, I still learn something new. 👍

Alex is the best facilitator, and presents the most clear, well-organized tutorials and workshops. These videos as well as those at SketchUp School are "fat free." In other words, the instructions are simple, and to-the-point with no extra baloney. You will be taught the correct way to do things, not just a person sharing what they've taught themselves. I recommend these videos for all of my interior design college students, whether they just need a refresher or if they are learning SketchUp for the first time.

SketchUp School Yes I was right on the edge of giving up with it and did one last search on UA-cam... that’s when I found this video series which changed everything! I’m just a personal user looking at doing some home improvements and have (as a result of watching a few of these videos) been able to visualize it in full 3D. SketchUp is amazingly powerful. I’ve been using, designing and working in web/application/software for nearly 3 decades so thought I could just waltz into SketchUp like a pro... I failed spectacularly. Thank you for this channel and these videos. The presenter is great and the content scaffolding is right on point. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Thanks so much for this informative video! I spent two years in college as an architecture major back around 1990 & drew all my plans by hand! These days I own a construction company & during these times I’m finally taking on a lot of home projects. I would love to utilize this program for some home renovations such as redecorating & purchasing new furniture. I think this would come in very handy for me to draw up my floor plan to play around with some different ideas in 2D as a start but also in 3D. And I think the use of this program along with my iPad Pro would be great to take with me on the go!

Some valuable advice here as always. I'm currently designing some elements of our soon to be renovated house while planning the furniture placements in the house we're moving to for 18 mths while the renovations take place. Creating a 3D model and placing simple mock-ups of our furniture with accurate dimensions, has been invaulable. Makes it much easier to have (calm) conversations with the missus and kids over what goes where... :-) Big thanks for the great tips and cheers from Sydney - Dave

Great video thanks, best tip for me was using the move tool to rotate components, and pressing the option key BEFORE using the move key to create a copy. Proper job!

@@SketchUpSchool Well - rereading my initial comment I think I need more help with my grammar than with sketchup right now, but thanks and I'll contact you if I get really stuck!
