We will NOT be using a scale ruler or graphing paper - we're basically free handing much of it! I worked for an architect that yelled at me if I opened Autocad or Revit if I hadn't yet sketched a Floorplan and elevations. Its just good practice to get ideas out and collaborate before doing anything digital.

I am a complete begginner, just trying to lay out my garage before building shelves or moving qorkbenches around.
Nothing too precise, nothing fancy, just to see if items fit, and the spacr left over to build shelves and stuff...

I am training to be an estimator we use Construct Connect and BlueBeam. Your videos are great. Estimating seems like a lot of detail and can't mess up one thing. You look different in this video
It wouldn’t be too much trouble for you to build a scale model and make a video would it? A lot of people struggle to build models and I’m sure it would help greatly.

Hi there! Could you make a video for beginners on how to transfer a rough sketch to graph paper and draw it to scale, please?
Great video - how would you draw a kitchen/utility room as 1 or split? our kitchen has a small area where washing machine / fridge where there is a walkway from the kitchen
Same with the lounge would you split the lounge in to 2 areas of 1

Hmmm a lazer measurer never heard of it. Sounds super handy, does it work well with large spaces, like idk 100' x 100'.

Yeah instead of steel tape use Lazer it will save time especially in asbuilting building

Super useful video, truly; any chance you could do one about Rayon? I find their software super useful, but I am not sure that I am using it to its maximum; I used to work on AutoCAD, bu really Rayon is SO much better and faster

Great video. Funny, but there’s dinosaurs 🦕 out there that still draw houses by hand! I’m one of them. But the laser will get you put in a dumpster on the job site. Lovely idea, but in practice, not accurate enough for interiors!
What is your job?
Use foamcore board to build a scale model. Use 1/4” = 1’0”. It was easy. I built a real 32’ x 64’ house.
The model was only 16” long. Perfect.
