Young man here have you been in my lufe? Thank you a billion times. GOD BLESS YOU . my life has changed. Video has been waiting for ages for. Life changing. Thanks to this video my oven, microwave, kichen glass doors and boarders are greese free.
Bicarbonate soda is also amazing for getting burnt stuff off the bottom of your oven, particularly burnt sugar
Left it in for 45 minutes. Took about 25 minutes and elbow grease but my glass looks brand néw. Thanks!!
I tried this and it hardly touched the stains. My husband used 409 and a brillo pad and it did okay but still not clean and it wasn't terrible.
It might clean fresh grease and splatters, but it doesn't even start to work on year old baked on grease and splatters.
I agree I've tried it doesn't work on ovens that's been years since they were cleaned
A great cleaning hint!!!!! I love cleaning with products we already have in our home.
Alma Stone nhh
I am going to give it a try
just watched another video. in this other video, Love Meg left the mixture on the oven overnight... then sprayed vinegar on top and used water moistened sponge to get it off!
Will this mixture clean up brain splatter, because my mind was just blown!!!!! How easy and simple was this tip. Thank you.
ayatti26 LOL
I thought this was gonna be a dark comment then i laughed.
+Tammy Singh ikr lol
ayatti26 lol i just about spit out ma coffee on this comment lol
Tammy Singh same here lol
I last cleaned my oven about a year, maybe a little longer. Mine didn't look as near as bad. Anyway, I tried this and it cleaned it somewhat so I made another paste, this time adding white vinegar. It cleaned it much better but still nothing like what was pictured. Taking an idea from another video, I used a razor blade and scraped off what was left. perfectly clean now but I credit the razor blade, that stuff was not going to come off with a cleaner.
Worked great!
Just tried this. Needs to be left on for longer for older/tougher stains as I left it on for 30 mins and it only took off the bottom half of the cooked on grease. Plus it doesn't just wipe off like that, you need a scourer. But it does work.
Thank you so much! Worked like a charm
Thank you im going to try it now.
great video! nice and simple
Great idea . I’ll try this ....
wow! thank you
thank you - great tips - video!
I have tried this, it cleaned the oven and did its wonder, but i really needed to do some scrubbing as it wasn't as easy as in the video, and i thought it is maybe because my paste needed more water.
The baking soda paste did not work for me by itself but I went a bought a $3 window scraping tool from Home Depot and was able to scrape off all the Burnt hard bits.
Just get a can of heavy duty easy off…preheat your oven to 200 degrees, turn it off, spray, let sit for 3-5 minutes, wipe off with a wet towel and the grease literally wipes off smoothly! For tougher jobs leave on longer but easy off works! I love it. I still use it even with my self cleaning oven! It removed all the gunk and grease from my glass door, inside oven and racks!
I think the point is there are those of us who don't want to use easy off. It stinks and is toxic af.
@@adeenooo5799 An works unlike this. Which did F all to my stains.
@@DavidKnowles0 I used a baking soda+ water and dish soap paste and it was amazing. The grease melted off the racks. And I'm talking years worth.
@@adeenooo5799hi. You still clean this way? Very good? How long do you leave the paste on? Thank you
@mikeike7114 I do use this as my go to. I don't know exactly but definitely a few hours, then I scrub a bit off and see if the grease is coming off. If so I can finish cleaning, if not it needs longer to soak. If it starts to get dry I spray with a vinegar cleaning spray, it foams up but doesn't hurt anything.
i jsut done it and it had take me 5 mins and now me oven glass is lush so happy
I used this method and the glass on my oven door is perfectly clean. Unfortunately it is also covered in scratches from the abrasive side of the sponge used to clean it.
Thank you. This worked great!
This shit has been building up for almost 10 years.... I Think ill just leave this on over night.... Or forever.
Regardless, it dos it's job from rubbing not soaking. Soda act as gentle sand here. Fast and detrimental process would be to just use some SiO2 sand (base material for glass, sand for sandblasting) but it sure make surface scratched and matte.
Unbelievable , I will be trying this.
Thank you ❤
Thank you so much I am going to try it right now. I'll get back with results.
I'm assuming it didn't work???
Bruh tell us did it work or not???
Few months, Do you cook your food on the door? I left it on the door for 5hrs and did jack. Not sure what I did wrong. Back to the normal razor scraper and water
Here's me cleaning my oven with Easy off oven cleaner, which ain't that easy... Then I got to my glass door, which looked like your's, I thought gotta be an easier way, so I Googled it and came across your video, thank you so much, not even 30 minutes I was using a window scraper and the baking soda paste and with no hassle it all came off. My son thought we had got a new oven 😂
@ 1:15 Nothing's happening. Fairytale.
Barkeepers Friend powder instead of baking soda, scrub, let sit for 2min and wipe off and it will work.
Baking soda is amazing! Any new gardening tips? It's almost springtime in the US.
Hugh Janus I have lots of gardening videos on this channel :)
What did I do wrong? It did not work for me. I left the paste 40min and nothing
tried this yesterday, this kind of works but you will still need to do lot of scrubbing, a lot of scrubbing, i mean LOTS of scrubbing, and multiple application. I made similar paste, left overnight, in morning sprayed white vinegar and started the scrub,...it not fully clean but quite few hard/thick stains have gone...so bit of patience and lot of scrubbing and baking soda it will be done!!

Thanks
Thank you
I just followed your advice.
The oven glass is that clean it's amazing. Thank you from 2022
Thanks Todd.
SandyzSerious You're welcome Sandy :)
This is AWESOME, thumbs up buddy and thanks for the COOL Share!
Joe Serrano Thanks Joe! :)
I tried this method of using the bicarb paste, left it on for half an hour... It removed some surface grease but not the stuck on spots that had been there for some time. I also tried the other hack of rubbing a dishwasher tablet over the surface... As much of a disappointment as the bicarb for stubborn baked on gunk. The solution that actually worked was using a razor blade type tool I use for removing paint from windows. I used your bicarb paste as the lubricant. I removed the glass from the door so I could clean both sides using this method. Also allows you to clean the inside layer that is closest to the outside world. To scrape both sides took less than 10 minutes! Dry the glass with a micro fibre cloth and reinstall for a sense of a job really well done.

I have cleaned homes and commercial office space. The quickest way to get the oven clean, is a razor. It takes off the gunk on window of door. It will also get up the puddle of grease in bottom.
THIS! This is the best way, hands down.
I had great success with wiping my glass oven door down first with water and dish soap to dampen the splatter...then used the finest steel wool (type 0000) to clean it (with soapy water). It came out like new. Very fine scratches may be visible in the glass here and there but it beats all of the other methods in my book. Try it in a small corner of your oven door if unsure of results. Gloves recommended.
Thanks my guy
This works !!!
I used a vinigar spray after applying the thick paste that helped alot more to clean glass it did about a 95% good job not as good as oven cleaner spray but fantastic considering that stuff is so stong and very bad to inhale and clear out the intense smell especially if u have kids.
(Fyi... Easy Off has a fume free version).
So mt mixture turned out to be very foamy and cloudy in texture. Would it still work?
Yay! thank you so very much. I am going to try it now.
and, don't feel bad. It is nice to see that all kinds of people avoid cleaning.... like me..... YIKES!
How did It work out ? I had large build up. And when I cleaned it only part of it came off even with a magic eraser. So I'm trying this method. :/ I tried baking soda before but I only ever waited 10 mins ...I think my door needs boiling water to get clean
Nice !! Thx Tod 👍😊
Carla Moran thanks Carla :)
I just use a razor blade in a holder. Smooth, slow lines across. Remove gunk after each stroke. Easy. Been doing this for decades (2 self-cleaning ovens). Never a problem. I will also do this on the bottom of the oven. It shaves hours off when self-cleaning. No elbow grease needed. I still hate scrubbing those shelves.
I tried all of this today at work, I had bicarb razor bbq brush everything. I think I will have to go back to the property with dynamite 😂
I just used a razorblade combined with the bicarb and it worked! Thanks for the tip!
good tip, mate
great
***** Thanks mate :)
It is easy to clean
Any glass, cook top cleaner and paper towels.
After using oven that time we have to clean it why wait for stubborn stain
I tried this, left it on for 6 hours and it DID NOT WORK. Didn't even bring up any grease. Had to use a scraper with vinegar and worked a charm. Thank god for scrapers.
Mandy xoxo What scaper do you use? Thank you ☺
A razor blade. I just watched UA-cam videos. I going to have to try it. Thank you.
Mandy xoxo he didn’t put vinegar in it not water
Your oven must be manky as fuck then ya midden 😂😂😂
This did not work. I noticed when you were washing it off the glass was still very dirty.
If you're buying a house, DON'T FAIL TO INSPECT THE OVEN. If it's a manky mess (like ours turned out to be), don't sign a contract until the present owners clean it to your satisfaction. I've spent two days on this oven, and it's still not done. I don't know how people live, making such hideous messes....and then leaving them to the next family to clean up. The soda/water thing is pretty much useless for patches that are baked onto metal and glass. This UA-camr's demo is just like those "magic" cleaning-agent commercials....one wipe and it shines. Call it useless. I've still got more days of hard work to finish this job.
Yes, quarming over a $200 appliance when making a purchase in the hundreds of thousands seems reasonable 🙄
Or just buy a new oven?
Did not work and made a HUGE mess with chunks of baking soda everywhere. Some things you just have to leave up to noxious chemicals.
Unfortunately this didn't work for me at all. The inside of my oven door still has a brown coating. I find it frustrating that all the search results for cleaning an oven door are variations on baking soda - just tell me about the harsh chemicals Google!
Amen. This did absolutely nothing to clean my oven glass. I’m not above using nuclear waste at this point. I’m desperate.
Same here, I just wiped off wet powdery paste and no change underneath, the paste didn't even brown. Wondering if I did it wrong somehow..
Baking soda plus boiling water soak works on my pots and pans, but I can't soak the oven door ...
Try a magic eraser
@@BethanyLankin I found something that works! However, it's a lot of work. I bought a ceramic oven scraper from a seller on eBay. The listing was titled 'GLASS & CERAMIC HOB SCRAPER KNIFE CLEANER'.
As far as I can tell it's the only way to get the burnt oil off.
Here's a video of it in use: ua-cam.com/video/e2SUOxCgLIk/v-deo.html
i did it and it work for me now me oven glass is lush and shine
I tried this for over an hour and it did not work on my six month old stove glass. Sorry
How do I get the baking soda mess off? It didn’t wipe away like yours, it is a foggy white mess that won’t come off and I need to use my oven soon.
Did NOT work for me
Didn't do a thing for my oven. I gave it try.
few months since you have cleaned the glass? Try 5 years worth of grime
Mich B try 20
Yes!!!
Nah mines almost like that after half a year used once a day
I tried this. Needed 2and half cups baking soda to cover my glass. After 40 min. Nothing came up with sponge so I let it sit another 30 min. Nothing came up so I used a scrub brush for 30 min and saw partial results. I will do another round right now. My glass looked exactly like yours
This does work! It took a lot more time and far more elbow grease than the video shows, but it definitely works. However… some of the mix got on my solid wood counter top, wasn't cleaned up promptly (by me) and it is now badly stained! Any tips on how to remedy that…?
A few months and it looks like that? Hah, what you cooking? exploding turkeys? Does your solution work with baked on grease on Pyrex dishes? I have one I have used for years to bake meats and its covered in grease. Oven looks nice. Thanks for the vid.
I watched one episode and instantly pressed subscribe.
Me too. Me too.
+sytestorm me too!!
❤️
Brake clean!
+ Helen Claudia Davidson, baking powder and baking soda are two different, you are going to have to get baking soda
I made with baking powder , and my oven is like new!
If you use a blade to scrape off the gunk, you don't have to scrub.
Will it work on the racks too?
sammynlea10 as long as its not baked on thick then yes :)
ohh ill have to try that. Thank You :)
It is a stain soaker gel or powder commonly used for nappies/diapers "Napisan" is its official name.
Nope, just buy a regular bra
Wow I just put it on and it’s already working
Did nothing to my glass door 😥
This didn't do anything for my door either!
Not as easy as wipe on wipe off but with severe elbow grease it came clean so thanks

looks like a good idea, but what about the nasty stuff left at the evry edge of the window, next to the metal frame? It seems like baking soda has been concentrated in that spot yet you didnt manage to clean all the nasty stuff out of there. Did you have to scratch the rest alot for it to come off?
Verithiell long story short i should have gone into more detail cleaning wise :P It comes off, to be honest i didn't notice it with the lighting at the time.
Todd's Kitchen
but does it take alot of rubbing to get the dirt off once its soake with soda paste?
Verithiell t simply depends on how old and built up it is. I have not cleaned mine for months so it took a bit of effort but not a massive amount.
Hard to clean up. Baking soda is very messy
Is baking soda the same as bicarbonate soda ?
Yes
Yes it’s the chemical name for it : )
Tried it. Big fail. Used a scraper. Done in 10 min.
thanks will buy one 👍
Plastic or metal scraper?
@@claire_stapley What kind of scraper
I like this guy's voice - he reminds me of Monty Python.
NO CHANCE. I like the way the video cuts to after he has actually cleaned it with something like caustic soda.
guoitdreuy and it didn’t look like it was cleaned in the same motion that he was scrubbing. He was scrubbing in circles whereas the final cut was straight. Ah I guess he cldv switched his his pattern so that it was a straight edge, side by side comparison.
Tried this twice, didn’t even work, rubbish, now getting a professional out to clean it.
It works. Try again.
...no one calls in a 'professional' to clean an oven....
@@eltsennestle998 there are literally professional oven cleaners, and many people use them
Thought it was TGTBT, my wife bet me it wouldn't work. Tried it, and - it didn't work. At all. FML.
TODD!!!!!!!.. I NEED HELP. I've done what you said... and it did nothing. the oven glass is still dirty and stinks really bad. what should i do? i feel like I'm doing something wrong! Here in the UK, its not called "baking soda" but I've used baking powder. its the same thing...right? if it isn't and i have used the wrong thing, what should i use? Please can someone help me?
Helen Claudia Davidson OMG U POOR THING 💜💜💜 nope completely different that must have sucked!!!
Yeah didn't work for me , I knew the baking soda would leave white cast which it did...ended up using ammonia-soaked paper towels then scraping w/ plastic scraper after a few times with the ammonia finishing up with window cleaner and scrubbing with soft scrubby.
A few months looks like a few decades haha 😂
based on the comments I think I will review the transcript. Somehow what is being used is not heard, it is either baking soda or baking powder and I believe knowing what it is he is saying (baking powder or soda) will determine success or failure. The transcript say baking soda..... and baking soda is not the same as baking powder
Baking Soda, don't use baking powder
Tried it... It didnt work...
FallenGaming try baking soda and vinegar leave it and the spray it with more vinegar
Same her. Tried it and fail but it did succeed in making a mess. I've tried the vinegar and baking soda too. That made a mess too. Still haven't found anything that is chemical free that works. Only harsh chemicals can take out heavy grease and carbon stains.
Lol it didn't work in the video either.... As hes wiping it off you can clearly see it didn't remove anything at all then it cuts to a completely clean surface....
I'm a New,Subb over from your Todd Kitchen channel 😊
Thumbs up !!
This do not work 🤨
Well i did exactly what you said and it DID NOT work at all! Just wasted a lot of baking soda and am pissed!@
No this absolutely does not work. I've tried it on our oven and our toaster oven and it had no effect at all. Going back to Easy Off and it worked like a charm.

Didn't work for me, at all
me either its bullocks
@@joannefong4413 what did work really good was a razor blade.
I didn't know baking soda was that powerful....
Yes, this video oven cleaning with baking soda is amazing.
It's not, he's full of shit
It doesn't work!
Have anybody tried this yet ?
Me , it worked with baking powder
I have.... it worked
Just did this last night. I had to let it go all night, but this morning it took very little scrubbing. Incredible. Tip: make the paste fairly thick so it dries - that way you can close the oven door so you don't burn out the bulb. In the morning, just wash with a wet sponge.
I just moved into a rental, and the oven had been cleaned professionally.
It still had baked on oil splashes on the glass.
I tried cleaning it several times, including with oven cleaner, that didn't work.
Then, in frustration, i grabbed a piece of aluminum foil, balled it up, and rubbed it with that.
It was very effective, didn't damage the glass, and in 5 minutes, I was done.
Tried it and it didn't work
