These ads are the only ones I intentionally don't skip over anywhere on the internet. Hearing Sona say "yeah" in a Miller Lite ad like she just ate a delicious square of dark chocolate is everything.
TAYLOR: I'm sick with Mono but I'm still gonna write a script after filming my new TV show... SONA: Hey Conan I can't make it to work today there's a spider near the door and he looks real mad.
Taylor Tomlinson is like one of the funniest people. It's unbelievable sometimes. And Conan is so right about entertainment today. If it doesn't catch you on the first minute, you're abandoned for good. You don't have the time to develop the thing. Well technically you do, but if you get your chance in the spotlight too early, you might not get another one once you have developed your thing. Like if you can't hook someone with your youtube short, you're in trouble.
She is the best, both comedically and the overall vibe she gives off when being as much of herself as comfortable, in interviews such as this. However, her and Conan talking is a special case. I find the way that they bounce off of each other so smoothly, despite the generational divide, incredible and admirable. Lightning in a bottle, as they say.
Late Night with Conan was THE consensus show when I was in high school and college. When people couldn't agree about what show or movie to put on, someone would inevitably suggest Conan and that would solve it.
...i could go for some chicken fingers and a female comedian. I prefer female comedians. Lilly Tomlin. Whoopi Goldberg. Taylor Tomlinson. Elayne Boosler. Paula Poundstone. I could go on and on. If it's a male comic that's okay too, but I'm a guy. I'm a straight guy! I can't help it. And big turn-ons for me are smart and funny. Pretty helps too, of course, but not as big a deal as smart and funny. it's like music. I'm a sucker for a gal with a guitar. I envy that guitar. Or a piano. That's so hot. AND if she's smart and funny and writes her own stuff? Ah have the vapors. Ah may faint! Someone catch me!
Conan makes a great point about how his show was so different it was an acquired taste that people had to watch more than once to really get, and how that probably wouldn't happen anymore because people have a billion choices and will always go with whatever is instantly satisfying. That's a shame as so many of the best things in life are acquired tastes that require getting used to at first before you enjoy it.
yup, Late Night with Conan is a good example of this, and it's been true for me with certain music too, stuff that seemed lame at first and later i got it and realized it was transcendent
That's actually not far off experience. My mom and I were both night owls so we discovered Conan very early in his late night career and I remember but of us after watching the first episode being like.. "that was different. I don't know if I liked it, but also I kind of did." And then we just kept watching. And the rest, as they say, is history.
I feel like "liking to work" and "feeling like you've got to work" are different things tbh but yeah I absolutely agree with and relate to both of them iykyk
I can remember sneaking into the living room after everyone else was asleep and turning the volume knob down and then turning on the Zenith to watch Carson as a kid waaay after my bedtime. And now I can watch clips of him on youtube (or a dvd) anytime I want but it's not the same.
I'm on team Sona. I don't need to be productive. I don't need to earn my leisure time like Matt. If I work enough for food and shelter, all extra time is mine. Also, Conan's show was not my reluctant TV watching, it was a show I loved but struggled to stay up late enough to watch.
To Taylor: talking about Cafe Largo and it being sort of the relaxing, easy place to perform, "largo" in music (in Italian) means "slow." So at least the name fits the atmosphere, kinda slow and relaxing.
I want that show to do well just because I like her. It could just be her on a live feed in a New Jersey dump and I would still root for it. I wish life was as simple as just working as much as you possibly can to make everything work out and you get a good live because you earned it. That’s what I was told and did for decades but then realized there is a lot more to it then working. Ted Kazinsky was a hard worker. It’s part of it sure but there is still lots to do. Maintaining good Relationships with loved ones and creating new ones, health, ethics You start to see work as a little selfish because it is a socially acceptable method of avoiding the other important things on the list. Like I liked having Abercrombie and Fitch clothes growing up but I would have been fine with Levi’s if it meant spending more time with my dad
I've only managed to watch clips of Have It All, but considering the average quality of jokes, I'd say that seeing Taylor be able to record that special despite mono feels as amazing as Michael Jordan's "flu game"! 😅🙏
was Conan was talking about at the end is essentially acquired taste, something that really was a thing before last decade and basically just doesn't exist anymore
Good to know that creative people are similar no matter what the genre. If I'm not sketching pictures or writing or reading research for a new project, I'm out in the world accidentally discovering research in musuems or even on hiking trails. It's a weird obsessive quality of being an artist I guess.
Such a wrong message. This rather explains why she has anxiety and don't forget she is bipolar. Studies and successful people have shown that long term success (and happiness, all the good things etc.) don't come from rushing
What would be amazing is if some creative soul would animate some of the clips from the episodes ^^ Some of Conan's weird and brilliant tangents would be fun to watch visualised ^^
CONAN: You should write a movie of all of your hypothetical hilarities!! Now think about it for a minute........................................ It'd be like Monte Python!!! 😂😂😂OMG
This eloquent conversation highlights the benefit of intellectual discourse. It really encapsulates the drive to engage in thoughtful meaningful sharing of thoughts and dreams. Beep Boop 🤖
5:47 ...what is Largo? Who is Flanny? Lemme Google that... (ten minutes later) Holy crap! That's a mecca of comedy! I have to go there and pee on it! Well. Someday. Maybe. Okay not pee on it just.. I'll think of something less offensive.
I like Taylor and After Midnight, but I feel like the enthusiasm for her is a bit overrated. Maybe I'm just bitter because she's still so young and successful.
america was like if you go to babel, it sounds like burning over there on top of the world, if i might add. why do you burn? remove that pain from the world while youre at the top, cant we
Can't stand people who say about themselves that they are "workaholics"...🤮 Also in my experience genuine workaholics don't consider themselves workaholics.
Pshh, complaining about a comedian being female. I'm a different kind of pathetic. When I see somebody like Taylor get on stage, my brain's like, "Uh oh, a gorgeous comedian. Am I about get a new crush?" 😅
I like Conan a lot…Very smart and natural comedian… but as an interviewer , he always seems to steer the conversation back to himself… and to me that’s not the point of having a guest… a minor criticism, but sometimes it bugs me because I tuned in to see his guest…. it’s a similar criticism I have about Jimmy Fallon. He’s an incredible impressionist and a great guy but when he has a guest musician on, he always seems to butt in… LET THE GUEST BE THE STAR!! Watch how Johnny Carson did it… go back to some of the old tapes…. Very instructive….. and you can laugh at Larry King but he also had very very short questions and let the guest be the guest…
These ads are the only ones I intentionally don't skip over anywhere on the internet. Hearing Sona say "yeah" in a Miller Lite ad like she just ate a delicious square of dark chocolate is everything.
Same! I will listen to a whole show of commercials if Sona and Conan were giving them.
TAYLOR: I'm sick with Mono but I'm still gonna write a script after filming my new TV show...
SONA: Hey Conan I can't make it to work today there's a spider near the door and he looks real mad.
Hey she came to work without a voice and her ONLY JOB NOW is to talk on a podcast
1:24
Tomlinson's most distant ancestors clearly came over on the Mayflower, so imbued she is with generations of the Puritan work ethic.

1:02 the look on Sona's face, "what is this work you speak of?" 😂😂😂

I love Sona being offended by them saying how she is always chilling, but she has admitted many times she didn’t actually do any work for years lol
She took offense at the apparent implication that that's a bad thing. Not at the thing itself.
@@Swenglish true true, I was just having a laugh I love Sona
Chilling IS Sona's work.
@@remnant24 and I respect the hell out of her for it
Sona actually has to do work now lol
I can remember sneaking into the living room after everyone else was asleep and turning the volume knob down and then turning on the Zenith to watch Carson as a kid waaay after my bedtime. And now I can watch clips of him on youtube (or a dvd) anytime I want but it's not the same.
Depends on who enforces your bedtime these days.
Wow. What an inspiring woman. Congratulations to her and good luck !
"I came out to eat Chicken fingers and see a male comedian?" should be a shirt! XD
Is that a joke about how Taylor Tomlinson is a gender neutral name?
@@omegadirective No. No it's not.
holy the male comedian bit had me cracking up
Oh to be young and full of energy...
That's a fkn great anecdote. Love Conan n how he always keeps it real
"I wish I hadn't said it. Was just sort of a light thing I said" after Taylor saying something kinda dark felt so relatable and cracked me up equally
TT just shines in these convo formats. Which is why I was hoping her late show would be more talk-oriented.
I'm on team Sona. I don't need to be productive. I don't need to earn my leisure time like Matt. If I work enough for food and shelter, all extra time is mine.
Also, Conan's show was not my reluctant TV watching, it was a show I loved but struggled to stay up late enough to watch.
Yeah, people who say, "I need to be productive" are annoying. Life is meant to be enjoyed.
To Taylor: talking about Cafe Largo and it being sort of the relaxing, easy place to perform, "largo" in music (in Italian) means "slow." So at least the name fits the atmosphere, kinda slow and relaxing.
Maybe "productive" is the wrong word. "Creative"? They feel a need to be creative, it's their way of being, so it doesn't feel like work to them.
Just came here to say, I'm THE OPPOSITE of a workaholic!!! 😂😅
I just came here to say, kindred spirit! Lazy lives matter!
I'd throw you a party, but that's way too much work.
Stay lounging, brother!
same, huge procrastinator, all I want is to chillax all day
How can one become a workaholic
🍺 Cheers to you!
I'm def a workaholic
"For many years I was helplessly addicted to workahol."
I had to pour all my workahol down the sink!
1:02 Sona's look of horror is perfect. And I fully agree with it.
I have been chilling since the pandemic started, and I love it.
I want that show to do well just because I like her.

Damn that's deep
Taylor’s great. She’s on her way up. It’s the best part. You don’t want to go full Chappell.
Taylor is my spirit animal!! ❤
"there's this new thing called rap"😮😅😂
I feel the same way. I never liked Conan, but after decades of living with him, he's like that toe fungus I wouldn't miss, but I'm just used to now.
I've only managed to watch clips of Have It All, but considering the average quality of jokes, I'd say that seeing Taylor be able to record that special despite mono feels as amazing as Michael Jordan's "flu game"! 😅🙏
I can tell Taylor is the type who would either have a bunch of Plan B's readily available or have an "Oops Baby" lol
Fine and funny!....what a combo!..........Taylor Tomlinson is alright herself too.
was Conan was talking about at the end is essentially acquired taste, something that really was a thing before last decade and basically just doesn't exist anymore
Why did I read this as "Conan and Taylor Tomlinson are both watching Workaholics"? Lol
Taylor is extremely underrated.
And what would it take for her to be properly rated?

. just relocated a poem with a Conan reference, totally random while watching . beloved typewriter paper n manual ink gifts .
This helps to explain why she’s so successful and so young.
Such a wrong message. This rather explains why she has anxiety and don't forget she is bipolar. Studies and successful people have shown that long term success (and happiness, all the good things etc.) don't come from rushing
I can't imagine Conan on After Midnight haha

This is the best😂😂😂😂
CONAN or his TEAM please please get JAROD MILLER on here we got to hear them talk about all those chaotic segments
Not to bring the mood down, but me myself I'm a workaholic, I've been addicted to workahol for years...

bruh I TOTALLY f*cking get it 😭😭😭😭😭
Taylor is so funny I am so glad she's gotten popular
I'd love to work too if i had a very good salary. Just saying.
Nice 🖤🧡

Saw her late night talk show/game show thing couple times. not good, seemed to try to hard and push jokes out there.. not entertaining.
shes so full of herself .. find it really offputting
She’s the most boring person I have ever seen be a comedian.
Boycott Miller for teamster local 997
There's a boycott?? Solidarity brother/sister🤛
