Fantastic! I don't know what it is about African choirs that they always seem to have a thrill and passion that we don't get from European choirs. I know and love the Hallelujah chorus, and it has frequently made me want to punch the air in excitement. But I don't think it's ever made me want to dance and cry simultaneously before!
This has made me cry for sheer, sheer JOY !
It's the best version I have heard. Sung with such heartfelt passion and sincerity. Such outstanding pronunciation and melodic heavenly tones, rendered with poise and accuracy. Marvellous, synchronisedmusicians too! Hallelujah!! This gave me goosebumps using my phone. How awesome it must have been live.
The trill and passion missing in European choirs, like here in America, is the result of an absence of faith. This sounds far better when sung by true believers as opposed to professional symphony choirs just singing another song. When sung by true believers, it is an act of worship and not a mere performance.
@@prairiepatriot2162 Yes, you get the sense that this is a true God-fearing and God-worshiping choir. Especially with the opening with a scripture reading and the closing message and prayer. It's truly beautiful. I have seen some western choirs sing this way too. Those comprised of true believers as you say. God will unite us all one day.

This is the best rendition I have heard since I was about 15 years old and my mom dragged me to church on Easter when I would have greatly preferred being out in the woods on the first warm and sunny day of spring. Well I have to say I was so blown away by the performance of the Hallelujah Chorus over 65 years ago that I have many times searched for one on youtube that approximates it. Thank goodness I have finally found one that does my memory justice. Thank you so much!
At this time we are reminded that earthly royalties die but our King is everlasting. Jesus is alive forevermore. Instead of bowing to worship earthly people the only one to bow to is Jesus. Thanks for this timely song
I have performed this piece a million times, listened to it a gazillion times. I thank this choir for such a wonderful Performance. It gave me goose bumps. Feels nice hearing such melodious voices from our African folks. Bravo guys!!

This is one of the most meaningful renditions of the Hallelujah Chorus I've EVER heard! The chorus, the orchestra, the congregation, the worship leader ALL reminded us that we were not simply listening to a concert BUT a TRUE worship service!.... God Bless Them All! This was yet another surpassingly splendid and faithful rendition from The Messiah. More than that, it was put to a purpose for which it is so well suited. I have never before seen a tribute to God and a call to discipleship coupled with this soul-stirring chorus. To follow it with prayer is powerful, to be sure. To what better purpose could this sublime music be put? For after all, what better way is there to give glory to God than to help Him by taking every opportunity to help Him to advance His divine salvational agenda? God bless you to continue.
I know its not, or should not be a competition between other videos of this song, but I believe its the best rendition I have ever watched, not a overbearing orchestra, just music, and heavily voices, well done

I have listened to this performed live in Bristol UK, Bangkok Thailand, Sydney and Adelaide Australia San Francisco, Minneapolis and Raleigh NC in USA and this beats them all hy far . The Glory of the Lord is reflected in each and every voice and face praising God with every molecule of their being and existence
