I always felt like the videos from One and Two represent giving up his identity and transitioning fully to Vessel. It’s so interesting how many ways these things can be interpreted.
Musically One feels like a bridge between his old music and ST too, his singing style is more like BC and he hasn’t really adopted the “Vessel” sound yet

This is probably the most I've ever seen of Vessel in a music video. I love his face and hand movements in this, they are so expressive!!. Without his mask he is vulnerable & naked!! Look for the band Blacklit Canopy , it's the band Vessel was in before Sleep Token. The music is awesome, and you'll see him without his mask .
That’s actually not Vessel. It’s an actor for the video.
This is also how Sickick's fans feel. In his earlier videos, you could see the bottom of his face when he sang because he'd lift his mask enough. He's full mask now, also.

I've been waiting so long for this one! I got to see them live for the first time in Brisbane Australia on Saturday
Oli had IV from Sleep Token come out and sing Antivist with him, Oli also wore one of the old Sleep Token masks during the song. it was amazing to see.

From the first time I heard Calcutta it became not just a favorite Sleep Token song but an all round favorite song.

'Focusing on the entomology, “Kolkata”Calcutta, derived from the Hindu Goddess of time, doomsday, and death, is described throughout the religion as “the dark one”, sometimes referred to as “the dark mother”.'
This song sounds so pure and cheerful for a long time, with Vessel saying that he feels the most whole when he is with this deity in his dreams (insert the "You complete me" scene from Jerry Mcguire here lol).
But the breakdown at the end of the song has a very different tone than the rest of the song, as if it's a responce to the lyrics and forshadowing that this joy will be fleeting and Vessel will be left with a lot of pain once the connection with the deity is severed. But thats my interpretation of it at least.
Calcutta is the most beautiful song from Sleep Token for me. I love every single second, listen to it for hours and never get enough. Thank you so much for this video!
This song is absolutely gorgeous to me, as is the whole EP and the the band in it's entirety.
Also, when you're done with the EPs and all, I strongly recommend listening to the Intrumental versions of the albums. Especially Higher's instrumental is insanely good and such a unique experience. It feels like a totally different song!

I think the whole band is constantly writing no matter what. To me they seem to be an infinite amount of pure art.
I been refreshing all day for this one!! My favorite sleep token song!!
Sleep Token to this point have just written and performed one song, broken into many many parts. There is a through line that connects everything they've done. Even the covers fit in so well.
Sleep Token has always been just Vessel and II, up until more recently with the permanent addition of III and IV, going off of them getting brand new masks as sort of a "recruitment" so to speak. II however was looking at getting an upgrade according to the artist who made the new masks for III and IV, so he got one as well. On every album, single and EP that has been released, Vessel plays every instrument except for the drums, which is where II comes in ever since the beginning! III and IV have been consistent touring members for a long time now, with IV being the only lineup change and has been the same person for quite a while now, with the exception of a live pianist that was also masked and performed with them! I'm so excited for Nazareth, it's my favorite track of theirs, that and Sugar!
this weekend in Brisbane IV came out and sang with Oli from Bring me the horizon. it was absolutely amazing and i was shaking the entire time. ST performance on Saturday was incredible too

If I had to choose, this song would be my all time favorite. The lyrics and a mixture of his singing and with the high notes, chills, the dark sounding piano, the layers and one of the best heavy sounds with guitar, bass and drums, ever with the high pitch vocal behind it and the dark muffled fade out, perfection. ❤ This is why they are my favorite.
I mean this in the best way possible…Nazareth is going to crush you guys. The absolute darkest and heaviest song they’ve got and one of the darkest songs I’ve ever heard. So excited
The ending riff sounds similar to the ending of The Offering, if that's what you were thinking of. So looking forward to Is It Really You? It's going to get you right in the feels.
That choir melody near the end sounds like the end of Alkaline! Others have mentioned Hypnosis also. Maybe that part of Alkaline is tying in to Hypnosis? Eric caught it exactly when I did. Like wait, where have I heard that already?…
The genius of Vessel’s writing is unreal.

Just listened to the end of both songs back to back and yeah absolutely they’re using a part from Calcutta in Chokehold. They reuse a melody from Jericho for Jaws, and I think there’s pieces from some of the other EPs scattered into some other songs but haven’t nailed any of the down yet.

Nothing compares to their old songs, they're better than their newer ones.
Calcutta .... my favorite ST song. Its beautifully haunting and the percussion is so good to the chunky bass and guitar riffs then it just gets dark...where the intimacy gets a little too heavy and someone's going to bleed.
Saw a dude in a video say the heavy part in this song was unnecessary. I think its perfect.
This is one of my favourite ST songs. That feeling of reliving the best moments of your life in dreams, only to wake into the disappointment of reality is just so well encapsulated in the lyrics and nightmarish ending.

Just want yall to have a fun fact for when you all react to Sleep Tokens Nazareth. That song was written completely by II and thats why when they perform it live, vessel turns around with his hands up to II during the last minute of the song as to worship II
II is credited as a founding member of the band in his only interview on drumeo, I don't get where the confusion as to when he became a part of the band is coming from, lol. Love your guys' content, and I can't wait to see your faces when you listen to Nazareth

Graves and mudangel are both beautiful songs. Blacklit canopy is a duet with Gemma mathews. It is not as heavy as sleep token, but still haunting and epic
OMG Calcutta is one of my top 3 ST songs. I love this song so much!! And seeing Kyle just vibing to it was amazing!! also, I am sure someone pointed it out already. But Eric, that wasn't Vessel, that was the female model in the video that you seen when you said "whao easy camera man" or something like that. I thought it was at first too. But you can see her hair hanging in front of her.
