Caitríona Balfe - How She'd End "Outlander" with Sam Heughan - Season 6 Extended Premiere Interview

Caitríona Balfe spoke exclusively to SheKnows' Reshma Gopaldas at the London Premiere of "Outlander" Season 6. Caitríona opened up about how it was tough to film scenes throughout her pregnancy. They were able to hide her pregnancy in photos with books and other objects, but less so in filming. In fact, some of her pregnancy had to be hidden in post production. She revealed she had to film certain intimate scenes with Sam Heughan later in her pregnancy - and she confesses it wasn't super comfortable to film sex scenes when 7 months pregnant. She also sent a message to her fans about how much she appreciates their support and how they have lasted through such a long "Droughtlander." Balfe revealed in an earlier interview that "Outlander" author, Diana Gabaldon, had filled Sam Heughan in on how "Outlander" ends, so we asked Balfe how she would end "Outlander." Let's just say, she thinks her ending is boring, and Gabaldon would not love it! But it's a Jamie & Claire happy ending that sounds perfect to us. Season 6 picks back up shortly after the Season 5 finale, in the aftermath of Claire Fraser's attack. Jamie and Claire - along with the rest of their family: Brianna, Roger, Marsali and Fergus, face new drama, in the form of the Christie family and the incoming Revolutionary War. We will also see how Claire navigates healing. "Outlander" returns with its sixth season premiere on Starz on March 6, 2022.
