One of the things I really like about Outlander is the fights that Claire and Jamie have. Its worth watching the show just for those scenes.
Well, they always make up with such passion. 💓
The fight at Lollybrock after Claire found out that Jamie was married to Leigheir was EPIC! Hearing Claire yell “You Bastard!” In her old English accent was 😂😂🤣
@@Blue-rl5dp I hope they dont make up after she married and jumped into bed with bloody John Grey.
@@tamlynn786 Exactly. When Jenny comes in with the bucket of water they are fast working the problem out. Some people say it was abusive, which it certainly was to the tea table Jamie smashed, but by the end Claire was on top and pulling his shirt off. Seems to be the way they like it best.
I like their fights because it shows how real their marriage is. Couples aren’t 100% happy with each other 100% of the time. Especially when one is a time traveller…
I saw the Brianna and Jamie meeting on social media and this was what made me want to watch it. I couldn’t get it out of my head.
I had a scene in my head before I got to it in the book. I thought wind, blowing both their hair free, the identical color mingling, his and hers. Then her saying simply "My name is Brianna." He'd know exactly who she was, then and there. Just like when Claire first came back and saw Jamie in the shop. She didn't need to give her name. Just "It's not Geordie. It's me." was enough. more words was just cluttering it all up.
But heaven forbid they should ask ME to write this thing!!! LOL
Me too! And the scene where she asks what "eh liene" (sp?) meant
Me too! I got a STARZ membership, just because of the STARZ ad kept popping up.
This scene with Sam is so unbelievably good.
Sophie, your relationship with Jamie is one of my favorite components of this story. The argument between Jamie and Claire is another favorite. I love and old fashioned man lol.
That was an epic fight between Jamie and Claire, Both of them had a point in their argument. That is perhaps my favorite scene in the whole TV series so far. Even while I was reading the book, that scene gave me goosebumps as I read it.
That’s my favorite scene, I cry everytime
Simplemente grandioso‼️👏🏼👏🏻👏🏽
She's got a great American accent EXCEPT for how she says "Anything". Her cadence gives away her Britishness
YEP
Yes!
Am I the only one who thinks Brianna and Jamie’s relationship is a bit lukewarm? I mean, she seemed to like him before the whole Roger debacle, and she forgave him when they got Roger back. But after that they just seem so distant. I would have thought they’d get closer with time…
I SO totally agree!! Very lukewarm. I tried to rationalize that she grew up thinking Frank was her real father but after some time, the vibes were still cool btw them.
@@wildwaning9427 yeah…and I love Outlander but it really did take a nosedive in quality after season two imo. I would have liked to see more warmth between the old characters and the newer ones. It would have made their performances more impactful because I don’t see much improvement to the story with the additions of Bri and Roger. Quite the opposite. They’re pretty boring tbh especially Bri. It’s very strange to me to see her being so distant towards the (arguably) most loved character of the show, especially when that character also happens to be her father. I NEED their relationship to grow. I feel like I’m just sticking with the series because those first two seasons were so damn good. I seriously can’t forget about how they made me feel 😭😭😭
@@fatimah230 Again, totally agree. We aren't the only ones who weren't feeling Ms. Skelton's performance. SM complaints have been high. When I first heard her Am accent I thought, she sounds like a cast member of Friends. Then I clicked on a promo vid one day where she actually stated that's how she learned/practiced her accent was by watching episodes of Friends!!😱 I fell to the floor in disbelief. I guess the producers/ writers decided to NOT pay any attention to SM convo because of their investment...what a shame.
I am confused why it isn’t a true Boston accent?
Blame Matt Roberts and the writers for drastically changing character's personalities. Since Ron Moore stepped away, Outlander has completely "stepped away" from the "book" character personalities.
I never understood why Jamie didn’t do a double take because it isn’t as if he hadn’t seen the photographs of Brianna.
Good point, but he never expected to see her either. I was surprised he didn't scold her for wearing a bikini 😊.
Dua Lipa vibes
Outlander forever
Forever lucky mood
Brianna talented
True Outlander fans would beg to differ on this commentary…. if you are really reading to UNDERSTAND the characters (along with the story and place and time of the events), you will know Jamie’s anger in that scene came from a place of love for Claire, NOT possession. He would have died to save her! And that is not an understatement! Understanding historic context, marriage also meant being granted name (belongingness as one family), provision and protection, etc. One of the reasons it was instituted for, NOT ownership (ownership as owning property like land, cattle, etc). Corrupt men does not represent all men! Not everything has to be “toxic masculinity”. Feminism does always not need to equate to rage. They were in time of war! DUHHH! Uhm, Remember what Jack Randall almost did to Claire the first time they met in the woods when she magically appeared back in time? That was like only 5 seconds ago, hellooo. Those were dangerous times! Jamie was scared sh*t out of his wits because HE DOES NOT WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO CLAIRE! BECAUSE HE. LOVES. HER.!
Claire being Claire spoke her mind, she wouldn’t condone being spoken to that way. More power to you Claire! I love that you are strong, skilled, intelligent, and you stand up for yourself! In other scenarios, you go girl! BUT in this situation Jamie had every right to be angry because THEIR LIVES WERE ON THE LINE. Not just the two of them, but ALL OF HIS CREW! And wow what a shot for the moon they made it out that enemy stronghold like Fort Knox or Fort George or whatever, with no ammo no nothing! I do not get WHY this video/ reaction just HAD TO CUT OUT the last of Jamie’s lines in this scene which was SO KEY, you’ll know if you’ve seen the show or read the books. It’s one of the quoted lines in Outlander book 1 - you can Google it.
The difference between Jamie and Claire, they CAN argue and contend with each other to hash out and process their differences. THEN they CAN ALSO humble themselves. BOTH asked for forgiveness and forgave each other! They BOTH respect each other. How can one sided respect be justified? How can you love and help each other grow when you are so adversarial? I love how Diana Gabaldon wrote both Jamie and Claire, they both can assert themselves and speak their mind to each other, they can disagree and argue, but they are on the SAME team, they are FOR EACH OTHER AT THE END OF THE DAY. THAT’S WHY WE HAVE OLD JAMIE AND CLAIRE STILL ROCKING IT TOGETHER IT THEIR 60’s and beyond!
Not everyone gets to rewatch their parents' love story
Best scene of the whole show
I cried already 😭
I love both scenes
😂 Lol...0:07 was my exact same reaction too! I mean Jamie was justified but lol, I knew that was going to set it off.
when they give out small things like using a juice box, it ruins the whole illusion of the scene. now if i watch it again ill just think of that juice box LOL
What day will season 7 be out on
starz?
Jamie wasn't wrong though he told her to not go BCD he knew outside is danger but Claire should act maturely
I don't understand, he saw pictures of her in season 4, how would he not recognize her
he may think that he’s hallucinating
Das rote lockere Haar passt besser zu Sophie. Das hat was außergewöhnliches
Jamie was justified....100%
He wasn't.
@@radicalreactions1633 He was !
@@giuliapicchiotti yes, he was. He told her to stay
@@radicalreactions1633 he was. She wasn’t in her own time. She had less freedoms. Less of a say. She needed to understand the dangers of being a woman, alone, in that era. He knew already. She didn’t listen, and exactly what he feared, happened.

Curious as to why Sophie drops into an American "southern accent" when talking about "Claire's" reaction to "Jamie's" anger. What a weird assumption for a Brit.
That not not normal.
I was hoping they would show the scene when Brianna slapped Jamie.
Personally, I hated that scene. To me it was not realistic for that time period. Would a man in the mid-1700s allow his daughter to slap him? The writers admitted that scene was NOT in the books...ijs.
I was the 1,000th like 😊
P
I wish brianna could be a better daughter to jamie. She's so selfish
Because she went through the stones to warn her parents about the fire? That was selfish? Because she was raped, under shock and regretted that she argued with Roger?
The best thing about this show is caitriona. Everyone else is so bad at accents and acting. No ones accent is convincing. Isn’t there anyone working with them on it. Especially Sophie’s. Her accent is a joke. And her acting but we won’t go down that road. Roger is pretty good actually. So Claire and Roger. Wow. No wonder no one from Scotland likes it.
So who told you no one from Scotland likes it ,I’m Scottish and I love it 😅
...the scottish characters are played by actual scottish actors, they aren't faking their accents, is their real accent. And brianna has an american accent because she grew up in america.
What utter rubbish, the accents are REAL. And its loved in Scotland!
What Scottish people have you talked to? A lot of Scottish people love the show and the Scottish people are played by REAL Scottish people because they film in Scotland.
Sam is literally Scottish and Brianna is meant to have an American accent. Not Scottish because in the show she grew up in Boston. What are you on about?
Why didn’t Jamie recognize Brianna from the photographs Claire gave him? He would not have forgotten. This reunion could have been done better.
