I am overwhelmingly in awe of the mother for actively trying to make the little girl aware of both her cultures. Loads of love from India to the adorable mother-daughter duo. Shine bright... :)
indians has really thick black hair. i rarely see them get premature white hair. becos they use the coconut oil from young i guess. so thry grow up with nice thick black hair. im not indian but when i was young my mom diligently massage with olive oil. and my hair was thick black too. n ppl praise my hair alot becos is so black.
The best way to get your child who is mixed race immersed in their other ethnicity is to have them around people who speak their other native tongue. That can be simply the Dad speaking exclusively Hindi for a while at home until the child is semi-bilingual. For mom try to find other Hindi mother's in South Korea to meet once a week for a playdate; where they speak only English and Hindi. As a mom if she sees you comfortable with her other side of her ethnicity she will be more enthusiastic about connect with that part of herself!!! Other things you can do... 1. FOOD- Buy Indian snacks, instant foods, and Indian take out once a week. Ask your husband to buy an Indian cook book and prepare meals as a family to help pass the cultural tradition down. 2. OUTFITS AND DECORATIONS- Have her own some traditional Indian clothes, toys, and and Indian theme/decorations in her room so she sees things of her culture daily while living in South Korea. 3. HINDI influences- play Hindi music for bedtime & in the car, and have her watch Hindi cartoons daily for at least an hour. On the weekends have her dad teach her the Hindi alphabet through workbooks if she completes it REWARD her of tablet time. 4. INDIAN MOM Group- Hindi hagwon twice a week for an hour. Make a friend group where you & your children can meet up once a week with other Hindi moms and their full-mixed race children. 5. Join a HINDI COMMUNITY- join a Indian-Hindi Girijaghar to go to once a week and for holiday events. AND enroll her into an Hindi cultural center Kindergarten where she can learn the language too! On have her tablet have Hindi learning apps and video content of Indian children & cartoons. Hope this helps❤
That girl got to every section of the set, at times in record time, and listens well. She's adorable 😊 That plug was seamless 😂 The moms braid was done really well 😊
Being an indian i can say the most used oil is that parachute coconut oil, i have seen alot of moms use it on their children and after that a tight braid 😂😂..
That's what doctor recommended fir body and hair when I was 3 and mustard didn't suit me at all. I am about to be 30 now and I often say as a joke that parachute should cast me as their hair model as I have been loyal to them and I have nice healthy hair (I have seen they prefer straight hair and mine is fully straight naturally😅)
Thank you so much for having me in this video ❤ Happy Diwali ✨ What an incredible time for the video🙂↕️ I had a such a fun time shooting with Danna and her mother. Absolutely loved meeting the little munchkin 🥰 Wishing the best for them and hoping to see them again✨
as indian in hair wash days straight after school I apply oil do lil massage then at night I wash my hair but 4 some reason indian parents do mid-day including mine lol I don't sleep bc oil can get everywhere
Almond oil and coconut - use the pure oils. But seems like Indian hair is generally easier to maintain Cause I have seen other experts for different hair, they used to give elaborate directions.
That poem how long has it been since i last heard it i don't remember but i love watching them singing it together it reminds me of so many childhood memories ❤️
Champi!!! ❤❤❤❤ Omg! This video was great. Though my mom does champi very aggressively 😂😂😂. Yes, we generally oil tje face and body too. But its mostly a weekly thing, so doing it on Friday or Saturday, so Sunday you can bath properly and be ready for rhe week ahead.
Tbh as a Indian myself, since birth I’ve put oil the night I wash my hair, so it’s not heavy for me to carry out my day.. I suggest the child should do it cause even her mother would like that
You are more Indian than our Indians here Thank god the culture is finding more people elsewhere who are truly enjoying, loving and respecting it than majority of people in Bharath Love from Bharath ❤️❤️
Getting your hair oiled by your mom, your grandma is one of the most fondest memories I have had growing up with with my grandma and my mom, though my relationship with my mom has always been very rocky. She never once shyed away from doing hair care rituals for me. It's so important in many cultures where women of the family and households bond over hair care rituals together. I'm so glad Sunghee is made aware and want to inculcate that for Danna.
all married indian women (or in the south at least) wear it, in telugu it's nalla poosalu or black bead necklace. The woman is married, so that's why she's wearing it. Typically, unmarried women do not wear it as it's a custom of marriage once the thread is tied.

Not to be rude, but racism when a person is treated worse, excluded, disadvantaged, harassed, bullied, humiliated or degraded because of their race or ethnicity. You probably meant mixed race. ❤
Sometimes going to sleep with wet oiled hair can give a cold so here we just do it for one hour before shampoo. On hot days oiling and tightish braids are great for longer hair but use comb, you can keep that comb for only oil but the combing helps with even oil distribution and braid looks more presentable than the woman did.
No but like i can relate from when i was very young, to the father giving her face, body and hair oil messages with too much coconut oil. And right before i was supposed to go out too 😂😂😭😭
If there is one thing similar to indian and korean hairstyles, its plaiting/braids. Plaits are universal. Plus yes, in indian cultures regular oiling of the body before bath, is believed to strengthen our body and joints. Very similar to african cultures too, were they apply shea butter all over the body.
Apply around 12 pm and wash around 2 pm on sundays.use coconut oil as almond oil is mixed with mineral oil.not 100% pure.no need to keep overnight if she has to go to school next morning.

Danna's mother is so soft-spoken, it's sweet to hear
For all of us Indian girls, oiling our hair is part of our identity
Same here for Sri Lankans too ❤
Now a days many girls and boys refusing it 😔
Do you wrap it in a cloth overnight or does the oil get all over the pillow?
