Ow wow. Do you do lots of landscape photography? With such big city's around I have no idea if there is any good natural stuf to photograph. Anyways thanks for watching.
Good spot on that “big” butterfly 😁 good thing it stayed put and beautiful macro shots. Incredible lens! Location looked fun to explore around. Quite enjoyed the tree shot at the 9:30 mark tbh 😁 and your past photo, real atmospheric.
Thanks a lot. Yes this is a small but fun area to visit from time to time. I usualy come when the butterfly's are there but there is so much more around there. Tha ks for watching! Grt guido
Amazing, isn't it. And the season for those butterflies is almost there, so hopefully, I can give it another go this year 🙂 thanks for watching. Grt guido
An absolutely wonderful video. I have only just got this new macro lens and was expecting it to be similar, use-wise, to the 60m - it is v different and yr UA-cam has really helped! Hoping to find more of yr videos. Many thx :)
Thank you. I am happy to see the video helped you. All my videos are with olympus / om system gear, but most of them are about landscape photography. An occasional macro shot comes along, but I don't do it enough. The 90mm was much more fun to use than the 60mm, in my opinion. Thankd for watching, and you're coment. i appreciate it! Grt guido
Love the vlog Guido. I didn't know these butterflies were soo small. But... the photo of the house and the rabbit (it's a hare! 🙂 ) is stunning! That is a photo with taking 'that' moment. Also, I had some fun... I talked to a hunter in the filed when seeing 'rabbits' and he corrected me.. No, thats are 'hares'🙂he corrected .... Thank you Guido, enjoyed it !!!
Thanks a lot huub. Yes they are realy small but so much fun to photograph. I knew it was no rabbit but I couldn't get to the right word at that moment. Now that you mention it I'm thinking ow damn that was stupid 🤣 it was a lucky moment wasn't it 😁 but sometimes we need luck I guess. Thanks for watching. Grt guido
I love the shot of the house with the Rabbit in it. I have just brought a OM-1 camera with the 60mm macro lens never used a micro four thirds camera before always full frame or apsc cameras. I use my Sony A7R5 with my 90mm macro lens. I got the OM-1 so its lighter 😀 Wow that butterfly is so pretty I have never seen a butterfly with pink in it 😊
Thank you very much. The butterfly looks purple when it's wings are closed but when it opens up its actualy bright orange. They are called orange tip butterflys. I hope the om-1 and 60mm will suit your expectations. I have the same combi and realy enjoy it although I don't shoot many macro images. It's just accosional when my attention is pulled to something I can't ignore. Except for this time with the butterfly's. It's just a realy nice subject. Thanks for watching the video. Thanks a lot. I have the 60mm myself and love to take macro images from time to time. The lens is so small that it takes no place in my bag so it gives me more oppertubitys to take nice images without caring around much. But I have to say that the 90mm was much easier to use. But the price is almost 3x the 60mm so deffinitly an investment. Grt guido
I'm no expert in macro photography, and I don't own a macro / ring flash or anything. But I've seen people work with it so I know it's there. There is an original flash that is compatible as far as i know. It's the stf-8. I know the remote from the om system itself works great it's called the rm-wr1. Hope that answers your questions, but just yo mentioned I don't own these and never used them myself. It's only from what I've seen with other photographers. Thanks for watching the video. Grt guido
Guido vraagje.

And do you regret not using it earlier, or is it not making that much of a difference? Because macro is almost always something extra for me, I never bring a flash. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! Grt guido
How do you set your white balance for overcast conditions? I am assuming you shoot RAW and it is handled in post processing but do you ever set to anything other than auto in the field?
Hi Rich, no I never change my white balance other then auto. Indeed i always change that in post processing. The only time i change it is for expample with night photography when there are a lot of street lights. But that is only because i want to have an idea what the light looks like. But almost always i still change it afterwards. And i have to say that my OM-1 usualy does a realy hood job deciding the right white balance on auto. Grt guido
