hank. please watch your comments. as stated before jumping the starter like that bypasses the solenoid. you NEED to energize the solenoid to pull in the plunger that engages the pinion to the ring gear. at that point, a contact disc sends the power to the armature. hitting the starter only helps if the brushes are worn and sticking or an inertia type bendix is sticking. since the started runs, the brushes are not stuck and an inertia starter does not have a solenoid on top. i hope this helps, best wishes
Hank try putting some clear slime.,or green slime inside of that grader tire. That has been setting for so long. After you're able to get it jacked up on that side. To turn the tire and rim around by spinning it 360° degrees full circle motion to help seal it up. I'd use A half of the little medium plastic bottle of slime tire sealant in it. I recommend using.,or try to the clear kind to. For those type of kind of tires to. If you're able to find.,or locate it is the thing now days that is to Hank. With everything and etc. Not being stocked up.,or on shelves like before to.
Lots of problems for tommy . Did not expect to see it fall off of the trailer . Very interesting video for sure hank . Wiley should have been there to witness this one .
I also want to let you guys know at Hamilton farm. You and Wiley, and just your videos. In general, I've learned so much about certain tools and mechanics. And it helps me out to get through this tough time. And you know it's awesome to learn about. The different told you guys use while working on these trucks and diggers. And I just wanna say that you guys. Your videos have been such a good distraction for me. Because right now I'm going through a hard time where I. I'm facing serious health issues in my life. Right now that I have no idea how seriously. Health issues are. So your videos have been getting me through this tough time. As I have been viewing them, I'm watching them so continue. What you do because it gives me peace of mind.
All you’re doing is jumping the starter motor then Bende won’t engage unless you kick over that solenoid. There should be a small wire going into it that’s what activates the Vendex to kick the starter gear forward it’s magnetically charged you should be jumping down from the small wire or the small leg to the power side
how right you are. those diesels run great. in this country diesel was started by international, caterpillar and clessie cummins. i myself drove an international td 466 for 18 years and in never missed a beat. the neighbor has an lh excavator and people marvel how well it runs.
@russwabuda1556 them international motors love their glow plugs I have a gallion 503a and it sat for one year held the glow plugs for 1 minutes fired right up no smoke such a good machine and good grader
I bought a tandem Adams grader that was dead and had to unload it a couple miles from home 6 mos later we towed it with my grain truck on Sunday morning at 7am, my buddy was in the truck me in the dead grader, I can say you get some weird speed harmonics bouncing at 40 mph 😮
Tommy needs double clean drawers after that fiasco!!!but he just shrugs it off like just another day!!!nerves of steel or the shield of our creater giving him faith, whatever happens,happens.incredible.snooky pa😊😊😊😊
Thats a great engine in the old girl. I did stockpiling with one. 10 of them kept me on my toes. gravel piling trailers. belly dump too. i ran the gallon hard she never missed a beat 12 hrs a day. other road building work also. watch the water pumps.
This is very interesting. My father was trying to start a chockshutt tractor. He banged it with a hammer, and it started. I guess he was hitting the starter.
Mr Hank, I've been following your videos for a while now, but today while I was looking at one of the video dated one year ago I overheard you said something. The video was about a skidder, the one that You had to load on a Very long trailer and went to another place to interchange the Tyres. The sun was shining and the rain started to fall a little and you mentioned that there is a story about that. Well here it is, Since I was 6yrs old I've always heard about it. It goes like this, ( 😊SUN AND RAIN, THE MARRIEDING AND THE DEVIL AND HIS WIFE FIGHTING FOR THE HAMBONE).To enjoy that joke you have to say it fast. 😅😂😅.Anyway Your Video today was awesome. For the longest while I've seen You guys started an engine very easy. Okay My Brother Keep Good and Stay Safe ☺ 🙏. 😊.Give my regards to Mr Wiley,🙏 .
I always find it very risky, standing beside that hydraulic lines after such a long time...when they burst and you get hit...have fun! And here it is already gone and you spill that oil all over the place...why? Just stop or put a bucket under that leaking line!
Just letting you know that I used to watch your videos all the time. But now that they have gotten to be an hour to two hours long I just don’t have the time to watch them anymore. When you shorten them up I’ll start watching them again.
you don't have to watch them all in one setting. Catch 20 minutes, then finish it up whenever you get the chance. I went to 20-30 minute videos a couple months back and the views dropped like a hot potato. The majority of my viewers like the longer videos. Watch what you can...I appreciate any support.
Impossible to please everyone. Longer videos are where it’s at now days In the youtube world, You don’t need to watch the whole video At one time. Drag it out over the course of two or more days .
Crescent wrench on a drill rig is not one of those . Its a shifter you have You call a photo-copy a xerox You have a half bath ?? In real places you can buy a bath in 3 sizes Toilet aint a bath

Yes sir👍
Hank after he moved to Tennessee your UA-cam mechanic skills really started shining after that lol

Good Morning Hank , I hope you are doing well and having a great day today Sir ! 😊
Пацани привіт вам і дякую за любов до стареньких авто
Hank we got a 1928 road grader that was made by caterpillar that was pulled by mules or horses

You need to add a weed whacker to your tools.
In my area, without a Deet shower, you'd be loaded with ticks and/or chiggers, in those weeds. 😮
Thanks!
Thank you
It is always a pleasure to watch your channel. You guys know how to have some fun with old machinery.
I sure do love yalls videos. Hamilton farms and wileys channel too

NIce!
My uncle has a T500 and T600 at our farm. The T500 has a locked up 4-71 Detroit and the T600 has a 6-71 that runs good.
I bought a tandem Adams grader that was dead and had to unload it a couple miles from home 6 mos later we towed it with my grain truck on Sunday morning at 7am, my buddy was in the truck me in the dead grader, I can say you get some weird speed harmonics bouncing at 40 mph 😮

gravel piling trailers. belly dump too. i ran the gallon hard she never missed a beat 12 hrs a day. other road building work also. watch the water pumps.
Oh trying to work on getting more out soon. May try going on facbook.
Yall can do it good luck
This is very interesting. My father was trying to start a chockshutt tractor. He banged it with a hammer, and it started. I guess he was hitting the starter.
I ran a 118/b for Dale County road an bridge in the late seavintys
Seems you should of replaced the ignition switch for easier starting and to stop motor instead of removing fuel line or crossing over wires on switch.
Why are they beating on the starter motor itself? The motors spinning over fine the solenoid is the problem. Need power to the little wire
Awesome watch was great to see ole boys dong it did Tommy get it finished 👍👋🇨🇦
I watch you guys everyday almost

All I am wondering is when or how can I get you hank and wiley to come on down to McEwen tn to fix some of our equipment we got here on the farm
I can see that grader fixed up & working again. The IH. engine sounds great .
Awesome video, Hank. I love the channel, buddy 👍
We appreciate you

Nice outro, thank you for your APPRECIATION to your subscribers Hank 😢COME on man!!
The starter turns fine, who's Illinois isn't being engaged
What kind of treasure did you find this time. An oldie but a goodie
I was surprise you didn't rotate the blade to its narrowest narrowest point when you had it up and chain it up!
I operated a T-400 it had a Detroit diesel loud with a straight pipe on it
I’m sorry it was a T-500
All nuts but good job for you guys well done
Thank Hank we lake your shows keep up and it going

I know y'all going to get it moved y'all are good that got two trucks at Seminole Express something in the Hank
What an adventure! What was the time frame from start to finish on this project?
It took several weeks bc we had to coordinate the semi and the grader was about 2 hours from the house
Got question Hank, like the old video. If you could tell me what kind of phone mount you got in your Ram? Would really appreciate it.
Bulletpoint mounts....they are awesome. I love mine.
Dang you moved it but you parked it in more weeds with all of that short grass around there😅
May the good Lord take a liking to us all .❤ Can I get an amen .
Amen🙏
Hey Hank at least that motor Grader will get some use. Out of it
Galion was bought out by Dresser-Komatsu in 1988
Hank looks good every day
When working with tools in the sun dip them in a bucket of water to keep them cool.
Hammering won't make the solenoid engage. Use the starter wire instead.
Cheers from Chile 🇨🇱
What is the after story, what happened to the grader after it got home?
Whoo Hank you looked great back then 😮😂
Oh to be young again!! 😂
of course he did he wasnt married to wally then lmao🤣
I don't see any PB blaster on the job?
Loaded up and trucking
Is that trailer on air bags I'm guessing.?
I don't believe it but I have to because I'm looking right at it. VGG.
How many years after this did you meet Wiley?
Did see it already think i watched some older videos when i started.

Where Is Wiley?
Thats what you call a lemon. Id cut my loss and leave it where it sits. To heck with it.
Seems like the torque converter is going bad.

I leke vidio mr hank thanks you
You guys spent all sorts of money on hoses, but couldn’t spend $20 on a new ignition switch……..
No make in oil then lol just oil in it
Yeah, Uncle Wiley came up with that and changed the course of checking oil forever 😂
