Game Changer with Prof Steve Wesselingh, 30 July 2024

TRI welcomed Prof Steve Wesselingh, CEO of the National Health and Medical Research Council and renowned infectious diseases physician and researcher, for our first Game Changer Seminar for 2024.
Prof Wesselingh unpacked for us the future direction of the NHMRC, informed by his role in overseeing strategic investment in health and medical research, evidence-based health advice and the ethical practice and conduct of medical research, including improving gender equality in health and medical research.
He provided insight into recent NHMRC initiatives, prioritising climate-related health risks to help provide a comprehensive understanding of emerging threats and build national resilience.
