Hello there. Thank you for this video! I tried it and it is fun! The only problem I had - clear glaze did not stick to the piece. Do you have an advice for me there? Would be awesome! ❤️
Yes, I recommend you bisque fire the pot again after applying the underglaze. I've had trouble with the clear glaze sticking too - I think the soap repels the glaze. So once you bisque fire again, all the soap burns off and the underglaze is melted flat to the pot. Good luck!
Hey this is super cool! I'm a newbie hobby potter and just tried this. I rinsed my pot soon after rolling it. It still felt slimy from the shaving cream so I kept rinsing and noticed all the underglazimg rinsing off too! How long do you wait before rinsing or do you just rinse it lightly knowing some shaving cream is still present?
I only lightly rinse it. I let it dry completely before adding clear glaze. sometimes the clear glaze crawls off. BEST bet is to bisque fire the pot after applying the underglaze like this, then add clear glaze and glaze fire it.
good question! I haven’t tried. I think the challenge he will be the rinsing. It’s probably easier to marble regular glaze using plastic wrap or just right on the pot.
Really cool technique. The voice is a bit creepy though, sorry.
reminded me a a hypnosis tape I had years ago - now I'm hypnotized to glaze this way forever!
LOL!
music feels like im going to get abducted by alien
Is that a good thing or bad thing? :D

@@thenakedpotter Thanks for sharing this! I wanted to know how long you waited after you rolled it into the shaving cream before you rinsed???
@@stephwaaay just a couple of minutes. The bisque pot is very absorbant and soaks in the underglaze pretty quickly!
Gotta show 'em after the've been finished glazing.
I post all the photos to my Instagram! 😀
Can you do it with regular ceramic glaze??
