I'm actually excited about the remake. I'm living with my brother again and this was our MAIN game growing up. Will be fun to revisit it. Glad to see more content. 😁
I'm more worried Code Veronica is not getting remade like every RE fan and their moms are. If and when it ever does, I want Stephanie Penisello to return as Claire, and maybe they'll be parrying as roundhouse kicking for Claire. As well as a parry system for Chris, and maybe he can punch enemies back like Carlos in RE3. They can also make characters like Steve and Alfred less irritating as they made Ashley less irritable and maybe even make the final Chris and Wesker fight a proper hand to hand boss fight instead of a cutscene. Like how they fixed the first Krauser fight from a QTE sequence to a real boss bottle.
I love what they did with the Krauser fight in the remake. The ultimate test to see if you've been using the new parry mechanic. They'll definitely make Steve less annoying. He was wasted potential in that game. One of the worst characters in the mainline series, but had such a good foundation to work with. They've all but confirmed the CV remake and it's looking like it's the next one they're releasing, so don't worry!
Great video. I love Re5 and Im verry excited about it getting a remake. The potential for what will basically be re4 but even better and with coop is wild.
RE5 was the first resident evil I ever played and I still enjoy playing co op with friends with that being said when the eventual remake comes I hope they change a bunch of things. IMO 5 is a hyper action, watered down version of 4 and with a remake that can change, like you said the setting doesn’t feel like a character you just go from place to place chasing after the next forgettable villain until Wesker. Then the enemy types are just African versions of 4. In the remake I hope they change it so it’s its own thing, make some memorable villains and honestly change Uroboros from just being tentacle monsters, it just feels generic in comparison to almost literally every other virus/plaga. As for game mechanics, more inventory space, not necessarily a merchant but some type of arms dealer would be dope. Idk if it exist in RE lore but maybe a purple herb that helps you take less damage and last idk what it would be but I’d like if Chris and Sheva had a thing, like Jill can dodge, Carlos punches, Leon parries, something like that but unique to Chris and Sheva.
Thank you! I enjoyed Re Village but it does not feel like a main line Re Game, it plays like a game that was initially created to be one but later became its own IP, Devil May cry for instance
@@TransitionedToAShark I never played online, just split screen co-op, and 5 was an absolute blast. Been replaying it with a mate and it's heaps of fun. It obviously doesn't hold a candle to old school RE, but it's not trying to do what they did. It has a real arcade feel at times. I fucking despised 6 my first time around. Replayed it last year, and was pleasantly surprised. Story is still fucking bonkers, but visually, it's amazing, and the gameplay is way better than I remember.
RE5 had no shift from horror to action as RE4 is an action horde shooter. RE4r does better as it has a darker tone but still it is an action shooter. CV is also the next remake and RE5r won't happen the next 4-5 years
I don't know what's wrong with me, but I struggled big time with Village. Barely scraped through. I don't think I died once, but I was always running out of ammo.

What an awesome full circle moment that will be! I completely get the criticisms of 5, but damn it's fun.

Chris actually punches the shit out of mold in re7 after blocking
@blah7 So I know.

Thanks mate! Yeah the sky's the limit for the RE5make, and I honestly believe it could be something special!

That last idea is a really good one, and something they can easily tie into what was established in the original too.
Missed Mitch content. Haha
More coming! Work/life has made it hard, but there's a ton of videos that are almost done.
@@shadowmitchmovies Same here bro, same here haha
I saw. We'll get there man. Life first, youtube second!

I believe it started as Revelations 3, which feels more appropriate, but even then, it's still just too silly for RE...
RE4, 5, 6 & 8 aren't RE games at all
From the look of it most likely 2026 or 2027
Agreed. More than happy to wait if it's as good as the other remakes though!
not happening the next 4-5 years
They need to skip 5-6. And give us RE1 and code Veronica and outbreak
Respectfully disagree, though I definitely think RE1 and CV should get remade.
@@shadowmitchmovies 5 and 5 was dog tho bro
Nah man. They have their problems but they're heaps of fun, especially co-op!
@@shadowmitchmovies even 6? Yeah 5 online was ok but everyone kept spamming the voice commands and drove me crazy

The big shift was RE4, agreed, but 5 went even harder on the action. RE4 still had some good scares at times.
@@shadowmitchmovies RE5 was indeed even more action but only slightly. it's like RE4 added 300% action to the genre since CV and RE5 put 20% on top
re village way too easy.
