At first I just wanted to say that the trailer reminds me of "Solipsist" project by Andrew Tomas Huang, but I was curious enough to do some research and found out something interesting. So basically Andrew Huang made Solipsist video back in 2012 and then after it caught Björk's attention he made a couple music videos for her, starting from "mutual core". This Spore trailer WASN'T made by Andrew Huang in any capacity, HOWEVER it was made by studio Encyclopedia Pictura (I didn't find any info saying Huang ever worked with them) which also worked with Björk for her "Wanderlust" music video. Weird that Björk is somehow slightly entangled into this, but actually I kinda dig it. Imagine Björk adding her outlandish style to a new Spore game, that would look absolutely fantastic!
After looking at andrew huang's solipsist and a few things by björk, i agree completely. The colorful and strange but beautiful style would fit perfectly for spore. It would have been amazing if spore ended up looking like this trailer does.
Gosh, I remember getting the special edition Galaxy pack for my 10th birthday. It was the coolest thing ever! I still have the disc and poster it came with. I just wish it didn't have only 3 installs. I'd love to put it on my laptop now.

Exactly. And not to mention, the people that say that haven't even actually played the game. Spore is amazing and everyone who actually plays it knows that.
Seeing really old trailers for really old games (usually games that I liked when I was younger or games that people feel nostalgic for) is something I feel super weird for. Sometimes I know what the feeling is, like if it's a game I had at least a few memories of I know it's nostalgia, but if I never played or heard of the game when I was younger I have the same feeling, but it's definitely not nostalgia
Imagine being a speculative evolution fan in the late 2000's. You've just finished Kosemen's "All Tomorrows" where an alien invader species essentially plays god and then Spore comes out and hits you with a "How will you create the universe?" like it's a game adaptation of it, and not one where you're playing as humans or their descendants.
I come back to this one trailer about every month, its constantly stuck in my head and for being before 2008 this animation is fucking astounding. I adore it and the song and this trailer feels like its for a completely different game.. Its so pretty..
It is a legend as it is. It's a unique game with extreme character customization seen nowhere else, an expansion pack that's actually worth buying, and an active community that still loves and plays it to this day and have even created some really fun mods for it. And that's not even getting into what some extremely creative people have done with it. Spore might not be exactly as the trailers promised, nor is it a super realistic evolution simulator, but it's a fun game and no other finished game is truly like it.
Molecular Stage was removed early on because it was boring; it was literally just Tetris. Aquatic Stage wasn't added because it was too hard to code at the time. Not sure what happened to City Stage, but Terraforming is a part of Space Stage so it was probably just merged. Also, you can get access to the full cell editor with mods. Spore's modding community is a goldmine.
There's a couple games openly inspired by it like Thrive and Species, but those are both WIP and Species in particular doesn't seem nearly as fun and interactive as Spore is.
Lyrics: How will it be when you can choose what you turn into? Time to grooooooow. What kind of creature are you? Feathers? Or fins? Or snarles? Or breaths? (Not sure about that.) At first I just wanted to say that the trailer reminds me of "Solipsist" project by Andrew Tomas Huang, but I was curious enough to do some research and found out something interesting.
If you don't mind buying it again, it's available on Steam.
@@SupersuMC Yeah, that's true. Maybe I'll do that.
Ah,Yes. Qu simulator
I don't know why i got recommended the Spore trailer but it is the most extravagant thing i have ever seen and i love it
Honestly, it does show how unfinished it was, but I would prefer spore as it is now. Such a masterpiece. We cant forget such a game.
This game looks amazing! I'M SOOOO HYPED!!! I'm definitely going to buy it when it releases! I have never seen a game as creative and interesting as this!
It is out already😅
@@Torfesk Is this not a new game? I thought this was a similar case to Star Wars Battlefront II (they had one of the ps2 and then a totally different game later on)
@@Torfesk I just checked the date this video was uploaded! aaaaaaa! I didn't recognise this as actual spore because it doesn't look like the original game (I thought it had to be a newer version with aquatic stage and new body parts)
This game has been here for 14 years, and I still love it… AND WORSHIP THE ALL MIGHTY SPOD!!!!!!
@@h1sworld891 I did not recognise it as the original spore it looks like a different spore game from the trailer
from the first stirrings of life beneath water you have come far
Random Person: This game is such a let down.
People's expectations before this game came out:
Exactly. And not to mention, the people that say that haven't even actually played the game. Spore is amazing and everyone who actually plays it knows that.
@@Keznen true but it still could have been better. Like it really got boring after a bit.
@@Mothobius Did you play through all the stages and did you get the Galactic Adventures expansion pack?
@@Keznen is the expansion pack included in the full game? Cuz I did galactic adventures idk.
@@Keznen but yeah I played through all the stages many times as different creatures. I just feel it could be better.
For all it’s faults the water stage was awesome, and I could play hours of that if they added more progression to the water feature
I never thought spore is clickbait
its not, trailer is exactly like the game, but a little more realistic. first trailer was made in 2005 so thats why it has all the removed stages.

My childhood, the first game that i ever played, so many memories
I still love Spore. It deserved so much better. All the cut content and lost media is crazy.
i wish they updated it more....
We absolutely need a new Spore game! This has so much potential! I loved to play Spore as a kid and I finally got a game of my own two years ago.
The game could have gone from a myth to a legend if EA wasn't so money obsessed.
POV: The spore creatures you have have made have met up and are now planning against you
Best Game of all time. :( I loved it as a kid and i still love it now. I wish there would be a part 2...
What spore should have become?
-9 stages .
Now
-5 stages .
-Molecular- ,
Cell ,
-Aquatic- ,
Creature ,
Tribe ,
-City- ,
Civilization ,
-Terraforming- ,
Space .
______________________
-Tribe shack redactors- ,
-Cake Redactor- ,
Cell redactor with -5 pages- 1 page.
exactly, we missing the fish stage.
Spore was a great game... hard to believe in all this time no one has tried to copy it :/
There's a couple games openly inspired by it like Thrive and Species, but those are both WIP and Species in particular doesn't seem nearly as fun and interactive as Spore is.
Like, this looks amazing. But the animation is making me feel twitchy
I love spore so much
Red Men Same a great game

Lyrics:
How will it be when you can choose what you turn into?
Time to grooooooow.
What kind of creature are you?
Feathers?
Or fins?
Or snarles?
Or breaths? (Not sure about that.)
Would you rather hunt or gaaaaatherrr?
Why does this traffic (not sure) city halls?
Where do we go from here?
When will we lift off this planet?
Why lies above the way beyoooond?
When we all meet up what big things will BEEEEEEE? (Not sure)
How will you create the universe?
Bum bum bum bum bum bum bum

So weird that a trailer from at least like 11 years ago now can still look good
Sad that they never implemented the ability to play as aquatic life like they pland on in the beginning
Yeah, apparently it was too difficult to properly implement at the time. :(
I enjoy it also

Spore is still one of the best games to ever exsist belive it or not and it's actually getting more popular
Yeah spore is good. If only it actually lived up to what it was expected to be though, such a waste of potential.
Spore was a part of my childhood. 10/10 game
Spore needs a remake or at least a update
I believe they're making an aquatic stage
@@professionalcommentstealer5271 you can make it by yourself in the adventure creator
@@snowtrooper3871 he meant stage,not a minigame
@@StudioZal yea. But an adventure creator allows to re-create this stage.
What it needs is a completely new game, that focuses in on the early stage, and expands it significantly.
I wish spore had a better game like this trailer
Spore is a wonderful game as it is. It even has an active modding community that improves it even more.
@@Keznen Yeah, im disappointed in EA for not reviving this game
It’s too catchy i’ve re-watched this so many times!
Happy 14th Birthday Spore, Still waiting for a Sequel.
I think spore needs a reboot or spore 2 add a feather texture more limbs hands make it so you can blend parts more seem lessley yknow
Also don’t like how when you get to the galactic stage the vast majority of species on your planet disappear and epics are gone, they could’ve at least had some kind of T4 for homeworlds that lets them keep all their species the same way homeworlds can have 10 cities
And where u can make ur own creature animations
also they make aquatic stage pick a what stage be a sea creature of a land animal
Also allow you to edit your civilisation creature past creature stage
