Ralphie hit two triggers at once.
1: Attacking Tony's hypocrisy (which narcissist hate the most)
2: Triggering him by bringing up meat (something Melfi discovered was causing his panic attacks)

@@simonium8123 It's like people don't watch the series, they forget how Tony was incredibly upset over what happened to Tracee. How he was depressed when he talked to Melfi and was very defensive when Johnny Sack said Tracee was just a whore. They also forget the different contexts, when Tony hit Ralphie at the Bing all of his inner circle was there and separated the two. And in this fight there's NO ONE stopping Anthony from killing Ralphie with his bare hands.

Tony was verbally and visibly upset when he saw Tracee dead, he didn't mention the Bing once at the time; only after Sil mentioned it. He talked about her with Melfi and clearly didn't treat her as a "whore". He talked to her more soft spokenly, he would reprimand her like she was a daughter. And despite her being a "houah", she acted like a little girl in some scenes. Her showing Tony her braces like "Dad look, I got new braces!", her fantasizing about having a family, a little girl in her arms with a husband caring for them, her bringing Tony a fruitcake, a FRUITCAKE, as thanks.

I think when Tony showed up to piss and moan about the horse, he was placating but possibly out of a place of genuine sympathy. His son in the hospital did become his priority, which is why he didn't indulge Tony's sob story about the sad dead horse. He didn't give a shit about the horse. It seems like no one understood Sopranos, rare exceptions. Tony cared about Tracee for reminding her of Meadow, for the fact that she was young . Even after having sexual contact with her, he realizes that he did something to a girl his daughter's age and keeps avoiding her. The scene in question is related to both (the horse and the girl), because according to Chase himself, there is this psychological issue in sopranos. Those who didn't understand this just saw in the figure of Tony Soprano a psychopathic mobster with extreme fury and didn't understand absolutely anything about the series. All her personal intrigues with her father (and lack thereof), the fact that her father was in the mafia and was violent towards her mother, which created Stockholm syndrome in her after the death of Johnny Soprano, the death of her uncle (which is in-depth in Many Saints of Newark), even his own problems with his mother, with his family. Everything related to Tony has an air of psychoanalysis behind it. Anyone who has only seen an angry mobster, I suggest they go back and re-watch the series paying attention to the smallest details.

Ralph’s tiny little hands trying to reach Tony as he’s getting the shit choked out of him 😂😂😂

I love how Ralph fighted like he lived and worked. Not honest, just pure fucking dirty. He was a real maniac, who caused so much shit just cause he had no empathy of some sort.

I think Tony was equally upset about the horse, but then Tracee came flooding back the way Ralph used an impersonal "it".

They made Tony a superman in this show. He'd been done for getting roach spray to the eyes.

Rage and adrenaline and the momentum of a fight can do a lot of things. Plus Tony isn't superman but he does have a pretty extraordinary survival extinct. If he let Ralph get more than an arms length away after the Raid he probably would have lost, and it was now or never then to get him to the ground, for which at that point he mainly had to grab and use his weight

Everyone has his “comfort video”, one that you keep watching over and over again, on days you feel low etc. This is it for me. I can’t stop watching this video. Shit makes no sense.

Im surprised Ralph didn't make pie o my's death more convincing considering he was more creative than spielberg.

Mismatch: Tony had 100lbs on Ralphie! BTW, fight is just a fight, and reconcilable, but when you spray him in the eye with Raid, all bets are off!
