Film by J. Martin Warr of the re-instatement of the line as far as Tytherington stone quarry in 1972 under the auspices of Hanson/ARC quarry enterprise
Fantastic unique photos Martin, like you I wish there were more, I could look at them all day. I will put a mention in the next vlog and the link. Thanks for your trouble. Parkinsons Walks. Ron
Thanks Ron. I'm now advised by UA-cam that my video is 'deemed unacceptable to anyone under the age of 18'. The logic of that defeats me but us 'old uns' must stick together else the 'woke' brigade will ban us all! ~ kind regards, Martin
Ron, I can only assume that they assumed that I was standing on the permanent way to take my pictures. I was, of course, but the way was far from 'permanent' at that time! I have tried to appeal but no action on my part is possible at this time. Another UA-cam 'glitch' maybe! Thinking back to my images I think, maybe, that one of the crossings may well have been the next one up the line at Latteridge where, in its operational days, there were gates and a crossing keeper's cottage. So be it, the locations were very similar.
@@ParkinsonsWalks Looking again at the status of my video I can't see any adverse status indicated so the 'robot' may have been put back in the box! No problem!
@@johnmwarr Hi Martin, that’s good news, the ban didn’t make sense anyway. The only thing I thought of was when uploading you have to select ‘made for kids’ or ‘not made for kids’. Something like that. Although I don’t think you could deem 18 year Old's ‘kids’, I did wonder if that setting was right. Fortunately it no longer matters. Ron
@@ParkinsonsWalks In theory my master setting is 'not made for kids' which eliminates some of the silliness, but, as you say, aged 18 is way above the 'kid' level. Anyway, I can find no reference to such a ban at the moment. What I don't understand is why my still images have not expanded to fill the screen, but that's a Pinnacle Studio issue, not one for which we can blame UA-cam. Clearly you found it watchable and it won't be in the limelight for too long! ~ We will both return when the first passenger trains are let loose again, aged 150! ~ Happy Days
Interesting video, shame about the under 18 woke stuff. Maybe you should have used the modern coverall proceeding statement "Has outdated attitudes, language and cultural depictions that may cause offence." as a get out of jail card. What a world we live in.
Many thanks Graham. I can't see where I went wrong, unless it was the fact that I stood on the very 'dead' and closed track! Mad! Mad! world but, fortunately, only a vociferous minority. ~ Regards, Martin

I would appeal the ban Martin. It's not right. Ron
