This seems to be one of those places that there are not any bad choices on the menu. That sandwich of David’s was an unbelievable value and the taste was just as amazing. David said the brisket sub was amazing! We went on Friday and they were supposed to have the brisket, brisket burger, and bbq on Friday and Saturday. However, we saw on Facebook they sold out of all 3 on Friday and didn’t have it on Saturday. It was very popular. The rest of the menu looked good too. Those desserts were also unbelievable. Definitely will be returning.
Now ain't that a treat to meet a TV legend and get some good eating! That sandwich was YUGE! The burger looked good and I bet it was one of the best you had Cindy! It was an awesome dining experience! We were so impressed with how Tickle went around to all the tables and talked with everyone. He is very friendly and kind. We saw a glimpse of his wife but she was in the kitchen part. That burger was exceptional. The flavor was so much more intense than a regular hamburger. 🍔 The homemade chips were crispy! I could see Tickle on DDD now. I love Guy Fieri!

Have yall ever been to Mama Possum’s in Danville, Va? It’s like a diner that serves American food. Hamburgers hot dogs, etc. we absolutely loved it there. You can actually sit in front and watch them cook your food. They were super fast. It’s just amazing to watch them. Amazing food and great people that work there. It’s on Route 41, Mt. Hermon in Danville Va. Yall should check it out sometime if you haven’t already. And fyi, they have great onion rings!!!!!
We have not been to Mama Possum's in Danville. We looked it up online and it looks great! Looks like a place we would enjoy. We put it down on our list of places to try. Delicious food in such a welcoming atmosphere. Tickle was 💯 on inflation and portion size shrinkage! This is true for portion sizes in restaurants and products you. It in stores. I can tell you by experience yesterday here in East Central Indiana that Tickles prices beat what used to be Dairy Queen, but now Dairy Kings prices. That large $5.99 milkshake would have been a medium here, and for the same price.

Great place, I can see why all the people recommend it.David got lucky that this was one of the days that the brisket was on the menu ! Tickle himself was a great host and owner, We go to a restaurant where the owner comes and sits at all the tables and makes sure your foods ok, and you get enough to eat, and says if your still hungry after your meal, he'll send to the kitchen for more, never got to that point yet ! Everybody's food looked fantastic, they must have known David was coming because he couldn't even pick up his sandwich. And that cheese pull was outrageous! You didn't mention whether David joined the clean plate club or if he needed Barry Goodall to help lol.Carly seemed very satisfied with her vegtetable plate. Cindy your facial expressions gave you away, about how good your burger was, and when you cut it in half it was so thick. I thought Davids sandwich looked good but I think I would've gotten the brisket burger that Cindy got with all that cheese melted over it, I was drooling! My wife and I try to avoid the big chain restaurants when on road trips or just "out n about" and seek out these small mom n pop family restaurants that usually have much better food at reasonable prices. Mr. Tickle looked like he had a great "hands on" passion for his restaurant which you rarely see anymore and I wish him, his family and his restaurant well - to me, people like him are what's always made America "America" and it's good to know that they're still out there.
I don’t think you would go wrong with either entree. We both loved our entrees. We prefer the non-chain places too. We don’t want to go somewhere we can go at home when we are on vacation or a road trip. Better food and supporting small businesses. We were so impressed with how Tickle interacted with all of the customers. He is very passionate about cooking and his restaurant. I agree that the entrepreneurs are what shaped America into what it is today. You definitely feel that the American dream is alive after visiting here. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I’ve watched the show “Moonshiners” ever since it debuted and Tickle is one of my favorite characters. After viewing your video, have to get there ASAP!! Another great restaurant review. Brisket burger melts in your mouth. I made some at home a few weeks ago with some leftover brisket trimmings. I'm heading to Real Q in Winston Salem, NC for lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it. Blessings!
@@vafunseekersWent there today. Ordered chopped Q with red slaw. The red slaw and the Q are best eaten together. Their "dip" is also very good. To me, it's not on par with Lexington BBQ but it's the best around Winston-Salem. I got a tour of the pits and the people were really nice. I enjoyed the hush puppies too. The prices are quite reasonable.

Delicious food in such a welcoming atmosphere. Tickle was 💯 on inflation and portion size shrinkage! This is true for portion sizes in restaurants and products you. It in stores. I can tell you by experience yesterday here in East Central Indiana that Tickles prices beat what used to be Dairy Queen, but now Dairy Kings prices. That large $5.99 milkshake would have been a medium here, and for the same price.

Great place, I can see why all the people recommend it.David got lucky that this was one of the days that the brisket was on the menu ! Tickle himself was a great host and owner, We go to a restaurant where the owner comes and sits at all the tables and makes sure your foods ok, and you get enough to eat, and says if your still hungry after your meal, he'll send to the kitchen for more, never got to that point yet ! Everybody's food looked fantastic, they must have known David was coming because he couldn't even pick up his sandwich. And that cheese pull was outrageous! You didn't mention whether David joined the clean plate club or if he needed Barry Goodall to help lol.Carly seemed very satisfied with her vegtetable plate. Cindy your facial expressions gave you away, about how good your burger was, and when you cut it in half it was so thick. I thought Davids sandwich looked good but I think I would've gotten the brisket burger that Cindy got with all that cheese melted over it, I was drooling! My wife and I try to avoid the big chain restaurants when on road trips or just "out n about" and seek out these small mom n pop family restaurants that usually have much better food at reasonable prices. Mr. Tickle looked like he had a great "hands on" passion for his restaurant which you rarely see anymore and I wish him, his family and his restaurant well - to me, people like him are what's always made America "America" and it's good to know that they're still out there.
I don’t think you would go wrong with either entree. We both loved our entrees. We prefer the non-chain places too. We don’t want to go somewhere we can go at home when we are on vacation or a road trip. Better food and supporting small businesses.
We were so impressed with how Tickle interacted with all of the customers. He is very passionate about cooking and his restaurant. I agree that the entrepreneurs are what shaped America into what it is today. You definitely feel that the American dream is alive after visiting here. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Another great restaurant review. Brisket burger melts in your mouth. I made some at home a few weeks ago with some leftover brisket trimmings. I'm heading to Real Q in Winston Salem, NC for lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it. Blessings!

@@vafunseekersWent there today. Ordered chopped Q with red slaw. The red slaw and the Q are best eaten together. Their "dip" is also very good. To me, it's not on par with Lexington BBQ but it's the best around Winston-Salem. I got a tour of the pits and the people were really nice. I enjoyed the hush puppies too. The prices are quite reasonable.

it wasn't an "old gas station", it was a TRUCK STOP previously that included a restaurant and pool room but had been closed for many years.
