    You have it wrong ,it’s 90 degrees clockwise and then 180 degrees anti clockwise

    this a very bad lock, yes try calling them no answer this a XXXXXX company and the worst lock nevr on the market, worst now my key is stock direct in the lock, unable to take it out, garbage lock .... i have 3 of them, i cannot lock my doors any more, bull s..............

      We have never had any problems getting in touch with this company. They are always friendly and replace parts free.

    I find it stupid. How hard for robbers to easily break in without having to break in because they use this re-key thing.

      Rekeying requires having the old key

      You have to have the original key first
      So it’s not stupid. If the crook had the original key they would not need to rekey it.

      @@shawneastwood and if the crook somehow had made a copy of the original key, then when the homeowners rekeys it, he won't have it any longer. Kwikset smartkey adds another barrier to help prevent home burglary, just rekey occasionally, especially after loaning out a bunch of keys
