Actually, no he didn't. He wasn't convicted of pedophilia. He preyed on young *women* who, according to the feminists' narrative, are stunning and brave, intelligent and independent, perfectly capable of looking after themselves, and saying 'no'. Then, you say he used these weaknesses (which I agree women have) for his pleasure yet he paid them extremely well for it. This wasn't a one-sided thing. Or are we to refute the feminists' rhetoric? Lysette was a business woman who made her own decisions, went to the man's rooms, went with him to dine, knew what was expected of her e.g. 'Go with this man and have dinner with him', and went. Is she an adult or not? Don't get me wrong. My view is that women are NOT capable of looking after themselves as all these cases show. If they were, sexual predation wouldn't happen and #MeToo wouldn't be necessary; but what do the laws say about women's capabilities? They say they can drive, can drink alcohol, can vote, can work in jobs of responsibility. So why can they do all these things yet not fend off unwanted sexual advances. SOMETHING DOESN'T ADD UP. But some woman have convinced themselves that there nothing, and loathe themselves, have self doubt, no self esteem, no strength or support so feel they can't speak up as emotionally haven't the will or strength. It's scars of a lifetime.
Driada Troplini Just looking at that photo shows Weinstein already unpleasantly obese though not as disgusting as he would become. It’s due to people like you we have the Rochdale grooming scandal, and the Saville grooming scandal. The MeToo movement has exposed pattern of sexual assault similar to the grooming of pretty young White girls in Rochdale. In this case pretty young White women, often only 17-18, are the target and the victimisers belong to a different ethnic group protected by political correctness and fears of being branded racist for telling the truth. You know Weinstein is a loxist.
so-called "victims" like her are doing a lot of harm for sexual freedom in our society - we could live in a much more liberal sexual society if stories like this didn't make people afraid to express the sexual side of their personalities
The most likely feeling these ladies felt was " I 'd be damned if I do it , I 'd be damned of I don't " being young , naive and dependent of him for their future in filmdom . And this animal exploited their vulnerablity .
I dont think it is that.. They froze.. The man is huge.. The ugliness of the whole situation and the absurdity will make you retroactively try to make sense of the trauma and also simultaneously dismiss it. Trauma bonding..
I hate that this happened to you! I wish someone had protected you! Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming forward. Hopefully your story will prevent other women from handing these young girls out to horrible horrible men!!
Giving up is the hardest thing to come to terms with in the moment I think. Realizing that it IS happening and there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. It makes you feel so confused afterwards like, *Did I just allow that to happen? Was that rape or...no?* 🤔 And on top of it all you feel dirty and worthless. I wouldn’t wish the nightmare on my worst enemy.
I don't want to compare situations. I know there is a big difference, but, as a 43 year old man who was over powered and raped by a man when I was 14, I feel confident in saying EVERYTHINGS this woman says is 100% fact. She's not lying about any of it.
It is not Lysettes fault, he planed and predated this in a careful way by using a mixture of pressure on her through her agents and employers. He positioned himself to be able to discredit any charges of sexual assault. Very evil and fairly bold and clever by design. However there are such things as fake rape allegations and a very drunk girl going of with a very drunk boy and regretting it and calling that rape. This is not one of those cases. Let’s not get absolute. The reason Lysette had problems with this is the fake rape allegations of other women.
I feel sad for the harm that Weinstein inflicted on many women. You can see and hear the pain she has gone thru. When Weinstein goes to prison the showers will be waiting for him and the inmates will give him a taste of his own medicine 24/7.

Driada Troplini Harvey is already fat, and certainly unattractive in that photo to the point of vaguely disgusting. He’s there with another member of his tribe. There are parallels with the Rotherham grooming scandal of 3400 underage White girls that occurred in English cities. 1 target was White girls both in England and Hollywood. 2 victimisers belonged to a different ethnic group to the victim so didn’t care about the damage they caused. 3 political correctness protects the victimisers. Hollywood is run by the tribe for the tribe. Open your eyes.

Driada Troplini Well , I sincerely hope none of your daughters or granddaughters ever have to experience anything similar bc they certainly wouldn't feel safe sharing it with you. Serial abusers and predators like Weinstein , Epstein , Cosby , Catholic Church & other institutional abusers, Bill O'Reilly's, Ailes etc etc etc count on your type of victim blaming 'witch burning' mentality . Your attitude provides the bedrock upon which they thrive & continue to build their serial predatory abuse .Do you seriously want your great grandchildren to inherit the same sort of injustice and unlevel playing field in the world you bequeath them ? The statute of limitations needs to be removed when it comes to sexual abuse . Weinstein is protected by these laws the same way Cosby was .

I believe someone who’s accused is deemed innocent until proved guilty. However the accounts of so many women who’ve claimed this man either sexually abused or raped them, are extremely convincing to me. Weinstein was it seems, all powerful in the movie industry and the adage that absolute power corrupts absolutely, seems to have been the case here. I'm not sure I understand this? Do you mean they destroy the opportunity for the rest of us to love & receive love ever again from the rapist himself? It isn't really clear. It makes sense to me if you're referring to the raped person. Because they have a hard time giving or receiving love after an experience like that.
That is the most rational and logical conclusion to draw by an intelligent human being.
Thank you for that! It is totally true. Our trust is destroyed. Even the sweetest gentlemen pay for the past. It’s not our fault we are like this to them. Thank you for acknowledging this. It helps to know you understand. We don’t mean it. We can’t help it.

My God this is heartbreaking to watch. God bless you, Lysette. So brave of you to speak out.
He prayed on young girls and their naivety, trust, respect for authority and used that to manipulate them for his pleasure.
You hit the nail on the head . I am a guy myself , formerly a ladies guy , but this Weinstein guy's tactics is beneath contempt , exploiting young ladies vulnerablity - something I didn't to .
I know what it is. Do you? Do any of you?

I disagree with her calling the other woman in England cowards when she clearly couldnt and didnt say anything years ago, but now she feels stronger she has said something. But some woman have convinced themselves that there nothing, and loathe themselves, have self doubt, no self esteem, no strength or support so feel they can't speak up as emotionally haven't the will or strength.
Funny how every time Harvey Weinstein is mentioned on YT, there's an unusual amount of victim blamers and gaslighting in the comment section.
so-called "victims" like her are doing a lot of harm for sexual freedom in our society - we could live in a much more liberal sexual society if stories like this didn't make people afraid to express the sexual side of their personalities

Predators and handlers deviants should never be free or have power
I don't want to compare situations. I know there is a big difference, but, as a 43 year old man who was over powered and raped by a man when I was 14, I feel confident in saying EVERYTHINGS this woman says is 100% fact. She's not lying about any of it.
It never the victims fault
Never. Everyone knows when someone isn't interested. Everyone.

Roxie Rocks I believe her 100%. When I listen to those girls in American college campuses I don’t believe their fake rape claims generally instinctively because my bullshit detectors go off. They don’t with this woman. No inconsistencies.
It's hard to describe how angry this makes me.
