You guys are like the pied piper being followed by those kids. My tondo story: It was night of the fiesta and i came across driving this quiet empty street. I had no idea what was going on, so i continued driving and somebody stopped me. “move back! Move back! People are shooting each other over there!!!” Very unforgettable. Thanks
the pied pipper acts like he is the Philippine representative to the Miss Universe, when he keeps saying Mabuhay to everyone. You only say Mabuhay in beauty pageants or Girlie bars

1950s to 80s. Tondo used to be about gangsters and riots. Those gang leaders are dead already. (check on story of asiong salonga which became a movie ). Nowadays, tondo has the nicest, kindest people. Just never mess up with them,whatever you show to them they will treat you the same but tenfolds. Its very easy to seek help whenever ypu need one. Anytime, anyday. I have lived there.

Its true, that is why there are names like RAHAH SULAYMAN, RAJAH MATANDA, LAKANDULA, THREE OF THE RULERS OF MANILA, LAKANDULA FOR ONE IS A KING OF TONDO, THAT IS WHY THERE IS A SCHOOL NAMED AFTER HIM THERE😊

the road you are walking on is where my home used to be built, there used to be a slum home there, but now they have cleared the area and made it a bigger road, whatever you say "a very danger place" I can say " yes or maybe" but depending on many aspects such as the conditions of the place, history, people's behavior, time, and many others, especially if you are seen riding a jeep with bad people, all your belongings can be stolen and take it from you by pointing a knife at you, but in such a place where there are many people around you there is no problem as long as you don't go at night or in the dark, at any time you have to be careful, especially if you go to a place that you don't know, but of course in general, you don't have to worry because there is a higher chance that Filipinos are friendly, especially to foreigners like you.

Actually foreigner in the Philippines is safe to roam around even in the poorest area of the country except to us locals we might be bullied if we roam around in the place like tondo with out any aquaintace.

it's a misconception that Tondo though a slum area is a dangerous n unsafe place , on the contrary people in Tondo are nice n friendly people....Tondo got a. bad reputation because the 60s n 70s there were a lot of gang wars, but that was in the past and now Tondo is a safe n friendly place w/ lots of people w/ a friendly smile as you probably witnessed w/ your own eyes.,.you can now see a lot of progress - new high rise public hoiusing n schools etc...people living in Tondo are packed like sardines because owning a house n lot in Manila is very expensive n so they choose to live in Tondo

Kabayan no hate and I love my own country but If I'm being honest we need to step up more of our English speaking skills, most Filipinos should know how to speak English a little bit more fluently, no wonder we are just top 5, and India as the Top 2 from Top 10 English speaking countries as their primary or lingua franca of 2021 to 2023. 💀😭

you guys should visit the cooler mountainous region of Baguio next it's just a four hour bus ride I recommend Genesis bus company just book online.

it's a misconception that Tondo though a slum area is a dangerous n unsafe place , on the contrary people in Tondo are nice n friendly people....Tondo got a. bad reputation because the 60s n 70s there were a lot of gang wars, but that was in the past and now Tondo is a safe n friendly place w/ lots of people w/ a friendly smile as you probably witnessed w/ your own eyes.,.you can now see a lot of progress - new high rise public hoiusing n schools etc...people living in Tondo are packed like sardines because owning a house n lot in Manila is very expensive n so they choose to live in Tondo
