- Having recently arrived in the Philippines I had 2000pesos to spend and in need of some cheap goods, I decided to go to the biggest market in Manila - Greenhills Shopping Center! The place was huge, with items from clothing to jewellery to tech goods, I was spoilt for choice. I was also followed by some unsuspecting people...

I’m not good in haggling 😂. I don’t recommend going to Greenhills to buy clothes or really anything. This video proves that the prices are higher than going somewhere else. It’s famous for buying fake designer bags, jewelry, watches, sunglasses etc. If you really want cheap stuff go2 Divisoria. I don’t like haggling so I usually go2 the regular malls where the prices are affordable anyways. Have a nice trip here in Manila 🇵🇭

Yes, the items are pretty good quality, I am still wearing the t-shirt I bought from the lovely lady at the end and it washed prefectly! Great place for cheap items 👍👍

It’s better to buy stuff in Divisoria or Baclaran Market there you can haggle the prices and it’s the same product

That's why sometimes they are banned from vlogging because there are fake bags and Nike clothes, maybe that's one reason
Yes its to do with the items being counterfeit, but you can film as I did, but only under some rules

No worries at all! I can’t fully remember as it is a huge market. They may well sell them…the best way is to just ask the local vendors there and ask for directions to the area…most are friendly…I hope that helps 👍😃
Everyone went wild in Greenhills when they saw KayyyWild 😂 I don’t get why fake goods are expensive in Greenhills? Fake is fake. Just curious why all the stuff you bought are so pricey?! A T-shirt for 500 pesos and sunglasses for 1000 pesos should’ve been way cheaper. I felt so bad that when you haggled they didn’t budge!! I bought a nice sunglasses at SM’s MOA (Mall of Asia) for 500 pesos. I didn’t haggle because it’s SM. You either buy it on sale or it’s fixed price.
Yes it was very have to barter here, but at least the people were friendly. Just beware that you need permission to film and you’ll most likely need a guard following you 😅

definitely u could buy authentic branded sunglasses in carousell actually i sold my preloved authentic Rayban (from P2K to P400) and Coach (P3K to 1000) these maybe priced at 5-6K originally, all came from US/Canada, there which was barely used, i also sold my brand new original levi’s sunglasses for only P1000 straight from
Canada, initially was selling it at P2K but my neighbor asked me to sell it to P1K and i didnt want the hassle, i sold it for 1K right away and even gave freebies.
At Greenhills, they sell class A, B and C counterfeit items. The ones Connor bought might've been Class A that's why they couldn't bring the price too low. Class A items can usually pass as authentic to the untrained eye. At Divisoria, items are Class C all the way.
you purchased pretty good tho.. esp. the sunglasses it looks good on you. but i think its too pricey 😅.. you can go to baclaran and divisoria they selling a cheap but good stuff too. im always waiting for your videos. watching you and josh give me a short but a happy time while im on my break! keep safe & enjoy!✌️❤

divisoria is bigger items are a lot cheaper and the vendors are a lot friendlier and easier to haggle with. Just put your backpack in front of you

Please get out of Manila and go to the provinces, such as Palawan, Cebu, Iloilo, Baguio, etc. Anywhere outside Manila.
Do understand that when a human is in need to protect family , they’ll scam to eat. Please be safe anywhere you go Son.
Don’t just give money away, they’ll see it as survival and will take more for a dying sickly wire or children.

⭐️ UNDERSTAND THIS: Unlike other south east Asian countries, the Philippines market is not a “bargaining culture” as their margins aren’t ridiculously huge. Mostly fixed price and we locals would rather not disrupt that as we hate having to haggle. Definitely not a cut of over 50% like Malaysia. You can tell by how appreciative they are with tips. 5% or 10% is good but painful for them.
Honestly, locals feel like if we can get 50% off the price tag from the merchant- why shame on them for jacking up prices that high.
Tourism is SADLY slowly changing that.

The way you bargain is by bargaining half of their price. If not then walk out and they will chase you and lower the price.
Yes brother, that is very true, however I did that a few times off camera and they literally don’t care here 😅. It’s very difficult to get away with that type of bargaining in this particular place because they have so many customers willing to pay the amount set or close to it

Hey fair question @fiveginers9267 - I did go to the headquaters when I was there and they explained to me why they needed to follow me, to make sure I didnt say anything negative about my experience. Overall the guard who was with me was awesome, and I even gave him my card and we had a chat at the end 🙏

Hey! I wouldn’t say I necessarily think it’s a ‘great place’ nor a bad one, it’s more I found it interesting to visit due to the high interest online. Yes, it was pretty hard to barter for a better price, but I love the difficult sell as it makes interactions more enjoyable 😅.
