I was wondering if someone was going to call me out on that! I was half way through animating when I realized that the AI never holds the holy roman empire for more than two seconds if they manage to form it at all.
I will say that at least the AI does respond to it's personality & does act how it should, no real long term planning however. Which makes sense, it's not really supposed to be thinking generations ahead, most people do not.

ai just legit 5brained move. by declaring his daughter a witch he can execute her, thus ending the proposal without opinion penalties! he saw what was happening and cut off the villain at the pass.

To be honest, I never understood why they care about the last name of the ruling dynasty so much. It's literally just a last name -- the paternal descent wouldn't change.
It means that the inheritance of the children will move out of the fathers line and into the mothers line, leaving the fathers family without their previous title, remember genetics weren’t discovered back then.

sometimes the murder is even just for constant war! like f the cooldown truces and just do repeat wars on ai king after ai king lol. Like the point after the third king dies and the same guy declares war on you, I wonder if they actually become suspicious lol.

Being able to sit down and play 400 years in a couple hours means that you’ve digested countless adultery events of anyone close to your player character. Compare that to what we know of the relatives and courtiers of the real medieval past. For an affair to enter recorded history, it would have been had to have been a.) discovered, b.) written down, and c.) preserved through history. The brazen example of Zoë is probably one example of many. I speculate there were a lot of powerful women who had young boy toys when they were past menopause.
This. But instead of me doing all the murdering, my vassals been doing that shit in my realm causing horrendous amounts of border gore and stress to me for some reason.
I once had the ai hand me the throne of England I ended up having only daughters after like 8 pregnancies and decided to try to find a matrialineal pairing for my eldest daughter and for some reason the son of the king of England and heir to the throne actually agreed to marry her I went from ruling over the island of Sicily to having my grandson inherit the entire kingdom of England.

I used a tool called Ebsynth in conjunction with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. Joel Haver who has done a lot of these videos made a great tutorial on it. ua-cam.com/video/tq_KOmXyVDo/v-deo.html I did a few things differently but in general he's the master of this sort of animation.
I normally don't respond to negative comments but my fear is someone who likes this style and wants to create something similar would read this and hesitate to do so. I literally referenced Joel as a big inspiration in both the video and description. Given the fact he publicly made videos on how to do animations and encouraged others to try their hand at it I think it's fair game. I've wanted to do skits for awhile but just filming myself seems kind of cheap so I found this method to be fun and entertaining. All the skits I write are 100% me, I'm simply borrowing the style so they are more visually interesting. I think in the spirit of creating more content it's fine to borrow style from other creators who openly encourage it so long as you thank the people who inspired you, and if anyone sees my videos or Haver's stuff and wants to do something similar I encourage it, and I believe he would too. Now if I didn't give Joel his just due and Joel didn't openly share how to make videos like him that would be another story, but as it stands I think more animation is a net positive for this platform.

@@johnfraire6931 I think how it works is you would have to do it for one of her children. Dont think you can push a woman's claim on the HRE with its default laws. I did a similar thing as the ERE. Captured a brother of the Holy Roman Empire in a war, recruited him, maternally married him to one of my relatives. She poisoned him before I got around to pushing his claim (Had to fend off the Mongols for like 20 years until I was sure they were not gonna strike the nanosecond I was distracted) but they had already had a son so I pushed his claim instead. I won, he became Emperor and after his death our dynasty lost that crown again (none of his sons got elected). But he had successfully converted most of the nobles to Orthodox, so that was a win to me.

The HRE was an unfortunate example, considering the male-only princely elective succession.
If you can make a female only midget viking empire in India then im sure you could find a way to put a female on the HRE throne somehow.
