"You alright?" Is British version of American "How are you?" No one really wants to know unless it is a close personal relationship or their job to know.

Lol I always answer how are you? I usually get someone to laugh when I do.
How are you? “Stressed out, fed up and tired”. “Overworked and underpaid” , “I’m fantastic, how are you this fine fine day?”
No matter what I say, I have to smile at the end. I usually get a stunned look and then a nervous chuckle, or and all out belly laugh.
What can I say, I enjoy entertaining myself.

I’m American and dislike the English. You’re only good for your language. In 247 year’s, the USA dismantled your Empire and became the 3rd country in the world to win the most battles. The USA has won 833 Battles, the UK has won 1105 and France has won the most with 1115. In less than 200 year’s after winning the Revolutionary War against the British, the USA put a Man on the Moon. Yeah but in america there’s usually also actual affinity for others. In Britain it’s like France they’re all trying to outdo each other in who’s more hip and jaded and British enough. Being upbeat like many Americans are isn’t cool. You need to be edgy and rude that means you’re cool. They’re like a nation of self righteous liberal hipsters. Being anti American is pretty central to being British. Almost defines a lot of their identity now like it does with Canadians. Their identity has become fifty percent ‘I’m not American. At all costs fight it even if no one is pushing it on you pretend they are and hate them for it. Ignore the fact that we also tried to push our identity on others before. It was okay when we did it.’

"We should go out for drinks some time." In America, this MIGHT mean the same thing as what it means in the UK, but on the other hand, it might also literally mean the person might be willing to get drinks sometime. The latter is definitely true if the two parties exchange contact information and/or set specific plans.

Hmm interesting. I am Dutch, we look a bit rude and direct from the outside but in fact we are honoustly interested in other people. If we ask ' how are you?' we do make time to actually have a small conversation to share personal affairs. We do show real interest in the other person and if we ask ' lets have a drink' we do actually plan and schedule time for drinking. Often the same day or the next weekend. Yeah, we are not so bad but you have to learn to know us. If we make appointments we do honour the appointment and make jt happen. Otherwise if sometimes we are not interested to being present we making up an excuse by Whatsapp or sms, to politely letting others know 'another time' I will join you. But we are interested in other persons without faking it ' to be polite' 😊

Here's some advice if you are going to go to the ghetto side of America
    If someone says
" Yo can I see that necklace " don't give it to him pretty much what is is a polite way to say I'm robbing you but if you refuse and you put his hand in his pocket just give it to him
Because 99% of the time he's got a gun

@@sutty85yeah towards Americans I’ve never seen that. British people have a level of hatred towards Americans where you’d think we bombed their cities to rubble instead of the Germans. And we didn’t we sent billions in aid to help them rebuild we sacrificed thousands to liberate France and defend Britain and still there is a strong undercurrent of animosity that Iranians and North Koreans would struggle to summon for Americans.

@@ComeAlongKay We tend to think you only entered the war when it was your assets that got hit. I mean we defended ourself after all, granted you gave us supplies, but we were the ones fighting off the germans alone up untill Pearl Harbour.
I think a lot of us think our country will just follow the US into anything they ask like we are some sort of lap dog. So not many of us put much stock in the so called "special friendship" to us it seems very one sided.
