The thing about pub bikes is they start off being something almost disposable that you shouldn't bother if they get nicked, then end up being as favoured as your first born. It's a dilemma for sure. 😂
You're exactly right! Putting sweat into something and fixing it increases its value I've got an old trek that I probably put a hundred bucks into I could probably find something better right off the bed on Facebook marketplace. But I love my bike we've been through a lot together!
Looks great
The original pub bike build video was my first intro to your channel and remains one of my favourite builds. This one is a worthy successor, didn't think I'd like that handlebar/rack combo but it suits the frame so well.
I've been building custom computers for a long time. Even if I get good parts from friends, I trust, but I verify. Nothing wrong with it.
Been inspired by your builds, especially the cheap bike buildoffs y'all were doing. I'm currently negotiating with someone to buy a 1993 Raleigh M40 for $30. My goal is to only spend another $120 after that to build it up.
Awesome build! I know a guy with the same brake lever ( 2 by) . To stop a slight endo he sets the rear brake to hit first then adjust the front where it grabs a little later. Enjoy your videos ! 👍🏻
I believe step through you're going to become more and more rare as the resto mountain bike thing takes off. Because personally i'll buy one just for parts I don't have the heart to do it to a step over. A big plus is a girl's back will be less likely to be stolen.
Nice job Craig!
yhats too cool , the handal bars make that bike a killer , thank you
I've been waiting for you to use those damn tires 😂
Wow! The crome chair as a handle bar/rack combo is crazy! Love the build soo much! ❤
That bike is absolutely amazing.
Ive got the man frame version. 1997 Diamondback Wildwood. Ive singled mine but Ive used a coaster brake 26" araya rear wheel for max skids, removed the brake posts and all the cable eyelets too so it looks super clean now. Magic ratio is 44/15 for no tensioner.
Those handle bars look like part of a shopping cart lol l love it
Bike looks mint, love the colour of the tires! I’m so stealing the idea for that 2 in 1 brake lever!
Lol i picked up a 1983 Bridgestone mixte with a rear rack with a pepsi create on back but ive been looking for a mixte frame since i built up two Peugeot mixte for my sister one original the other modern parts and the test ride surprised me on how comfortable the ride is.
Even my wife agrees those bars are dope.. just ordered a set with her blessing (!)
Now I'm hunting for a step-throu to mod
what's the name of them?
Please the handlebar links

Awesome build. Really like the colour way of that frame. Bar is pretty cool too.
That turned out super cool!
Got a Norco scene a few weeks ago for cheap on market place, so comfy, like riding a couch.
I actually much prefer the blue chainring :)
Love this.
Awesome bike!
Those are Shimano T-4000 brakes. And, yes. They're great. I have done 4 or 5 builds with them.
Nice work, I like that build... 😎
I challage your claim for it being the Year of the Step through... my moneys on it being the Year of the Mini-Velo! When are we seeing that build...?!
Ive been bulding step thrus for the last year, lol, i have 5 going right now.
Love the bike, genuinely would buy that myself if I could! Hope it goes to a good home! - ill also share this vid around work (cycle courier company) as I reckon there may be some interest (hopefully!) - great work as always mate!
Booze tires, perfect for a pub bike.
If my pub bike looked like that I would be really upset if it got nicked!
I've got a monstrous Rock Awning gazebo in my lockup that might sort your life out 😂
You'll be hard pressed to find a more comfortable rigid bike. The fat tyres and the 'sit up' type handlebar geometry will see to that.
Awesome townie build, but I would be pretty upset if that got nicked, so not exactly a pub build :)
be a man and ditch that tensioner too! get a BMX half link chain and you'll have enough room in those dropouts 😉😉
Nice build 👍👌😎 but defo not a "throwawayable" bike with those Booze Lights on and the special edition Spoon! Stepthrough...isn't that a girls' bike frame? 🤔
What bars are on your cargo bike? I cannot find them anywhere and love them!
Can you please do cost breakdown on these builds,I really wonder how much approximately you spend on a bike :)
I love watching your videos. However, is there anyway some of these parts could be linked with at least the companies? That would be great!
Urban arrow cargo??
I'd be upset if someone stole this bike.
awesome videos! do you know anyone in the states (pref. New England) that does the disc brake conversions???
That's a great question, for Google 😂
Were did u get the handlebars
Like step thru bikes but i cant find one with a big enough frame size to suit me. 22inch or xtra large.😢
What are the handlebars?
How about getting @SamPilgrim to ride it?
what is that cargo? Can it be placed on mountin bike? 6:03
So what you're saying is... you're copying me and using my parts?! jk lolol
I clamp the frame anytime mine is on the stand. 😬
Nah, not how does the brake work, the real question is who buys such a small box of beer. Definitely gonna end up back at the cornershop before closing time for more beers.
I bought my daughter a Dutch bike now I ride more than her🤣🤣🤣
What the handlebar name
