This interview sells me so much on Ryan Condal. Everything he says here and the way he talks lead me to believe he'll do all of the most interesting storys of the dance (Aegon, Rhaenyra, Daeron, The Sheperd, ...) justice.

mal and jo look exactly like how they sound i dunno if that sounds weird but it’s my first time seeing them and i feel like i already seen them before lol
Love Condal. Trust the process. Targ stans can cope & seethe about Alicent not being evil stepmom & Daemon not being self-insert malewife all they want, I have complete faith in him. At the end of the day 90% of the criticism comes down to "why my team is not being shown as flawless heroes with no conflicts & the other team not being shown as irredemable NPC villains". It's a bunch of children who don't deserve a tragedy.
The only glaring contradiction last season that in the book, Daemon did not kill his wife. That said, Ryan is so utterly devoted to this show and obviously works really hard (I mean when does he sleep?) I can’t complain too much.
Thank you for asking about Daemon. I’m attached to him as well (Matt Smith is my fav actor). Anti heroes, if written well and presented by talented actors are always fun to watch. It was great to have him clear up his comments. People can just go crazy with wild interpretations. Great interview!

Awesome interview... Great representation of the audience.
Daemon is my favourite problematic fave too... I just wish he addressed the point of changing some major important plot points of him being an excited and probably one of the few good, present fathers in westeros. He doesn't even use his children for political purposes, in facts tries to keep them out of it. That's the only thing that genuinely bugs me about show Daemon.
