Had a good few days now to get playing with my 66 to see what I make of it, and I think it's probably the best TT:120 loco yet! DC runner here, but I'll still watch the video to see how you're all doing in DCC world :D Happy New Year to you when it comes!
Well that is great news on future releases. Good that the stay alive went in so easily. Looks like Hornby may have designed that gap specifically for them which is excellent.
Hi Chris. Nice to see you again (and hear Jim). I think you are one of the most vocal proponents of TT:120 - so, well done. Hope you and the family have had a great Xmas and all the best for the New Year.
My 08 arrived today and 66s yesterday. I've had the sanding pipes touching the bogies on the 66s its the way they are packed. very carefiul bending helps.merry christmas chris and family 😊

@@PeachyTT120 Are you sure you're not confusing Shimmns with Sfhimmns? They look almost the same, only the height is different. However, both look chunky behind a slim Class 66. I've looked for pictures myself, but I keep coming across the lower Sfhimmns.
Thanks for that Chris. Just ordered my 66 and decoder seeing as the HST set is now available on the website and did it all in 1👍 Need some more stay alives' now tho🤣 Oh and eventually unboxed my 08 upgraded by TMC with the decoder and coreless motor and it's fantastic - you wouldn't even know it had been out of the box.
Merry Christmas, an Excellent video, looks like Hornby have listened to comments on access for DCC, can’t wait for the next year, however I hope they can get more stock through, my goods train doesn’t brake properly without my missing brake van and misses the station every time 😮
Oo gauge model myself but did n gauge so had much experience but never fitted dcc to a lcoo but generally oo gauge is better for me as small parts with n gauge and more selection in oo gauge
Nice one :-) I'm really impressed by the BR retro 66, just waiting for my others from TMC. You've got me interested with this retailer video. Dont want you to give anything but would I be upset if I am expecting Gresley coaches and LMS locos? 🤣 Can't wait to see what 2025 brings, it's been quite a year for me only starting in January.
@@kiwitrains normally I’d agree, but I’m guessing Hornby’s returns department has begged for this change… at least until the design dept can come up with a more robust way of securing screws in the bodies. 🤣
Great video as always Chris. I wonder if Hornby have a black 5 in the pipe line for TT 120 🤔. Merry Christmas to the peachy family. All the best Anth 👍🍺

The Hornby don’t fit. I tried different locations. The only way would be to butcher one of the cab interiors.
