It was only by watching this, that it dawned on me, just how far the scale has progressed in just one year. So encouraging to see. Thank you gents, and I hope there are lots of TT goodies under trees up and down the land for us all.
Well done Chris and Greg for all the content you’ve both produced. My bank knows about it 😂. Great video to sign off the year and shows just how much we have had in TT:120 this year with some great models. Looking forward to what’s next in the scale. Merry Xmas to you both. All the best Anth Knill 👍
Merry Christmas everyone and thank you Peachy & Greg for all the TT content in 2024. Looking forward to seeing what is coming for 2025. Perhaps we could see the start of a TT120 scale Free-Mo iniative to attend a model railway show in 2025/26. Like LMM (Lauries Mechanical Marvels and his Nearly Competent Modellers Association did for their OO guage . 🙂
@@mactrains Free - mo is modular base boards that made by people and are brought together & connected. The track is always in the same position for each module, so that when they are combined, they produce a running line over the length of the completed assembly. Here's my 'letter to Santa' for a tt 120 wishlist: class 47; class 25 (+sub types); BR standard 4 (4-6-0 tender and 2-6-4 tank); Black 5; jinty; 4F; 8F; Ivatt 2-6-2t; 57xx; 45xx; Hall or Manor; B set or autocoach; B1; J94 (both main and industrials); BR Mk1 full brake and buffet cars; Mk1 GUV; tubular post uq signals; curved point (R3 to R4); Y point. Think that would keep the elves busy for a while...
@@PeachyTT120 Mine has already cleared customs in the Netherlands and should arrive between the Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve. I am in our last railway club meeting for this year, and some are panicking about being too late to order one (getting another Gronk is still a no-brainer, isn't it?) but we are agreeing that having such a quick sell-out of a first batch is a rare thing to see nowadays. Even for Märklin fans.
When you are taking to Martin at Hornby could you please plead the case for them to drop southern models as the TT distributor in Australia and go direct to the retailers! Our retailers are still working off the dregs of first release with no sign of any more stock on the way. The retailers want it, the customers want it but they are forced to buy from uk retailers if they want the current release products
Merry Christmas. I wish there was preballasted track like Kato do for N Gauge as I have a disability with my left hand and so that would be difficult for me but I do love the scale
Very enjoyable video, thanks to you both. Merry Christmas to you both and looking forward to seeing more TT:120 stock in Aus next year. @@lindsaybancroft4629 for most, I find the best fit the AED-SSC. The new Hornby is the best match for the HST class 43, the Nano Train-o-matic from Tramfrabrik is the best fit for the A1/A3/A4 (although the AED does fit in the corridor tenders of Falcon & Willy Whitelaw)
I could be completely wrong, but I thought Martyn had said in one of your interviews that the starter set would be something new / something that hadn’t been shown? Technically the 4th J50 would be ‘new’. My money is on a Jinty though.
Merry Xmas guys. Enjoyable listen. IMO a little pessimistic on next years releases. I think another steam loco will be released. Not sure what though. If no new steam in 2025, then that may mean Great Western fans get some cheer in 2026 with a Castle, Pannier tank + GWR coaches triple whammy. I am still hoping for a Black 5 in 2025.
@@PeachyTT120 I understand from others that the 10t vent wagon is actually a GW design (or if not actually could easily pass as one) so maybe our prayers for new liveries could easily be answered by dressing this in GW/BR(w) colours...
In fairness his camera works well - it's the limit of our internet bandwidth that throttles the video quality when we record these chats over Zoom. We then try to clean it up and upscale it, but you never properly recover the quality.
