Hey couyon! My wife and I just moved up to Nashville from New Orleans. I'm an avid fisherman and in South Louisiana. Reds, Specks, Flounder, Blue Cats, etc. I'd like to learn the techniques for catching local fish. Walleye mostly and Sac-a-lat (crappie). I'm also a Navy Veteran and I have my own boat. Any suggestions on tackle and technique is greatly appreciated. Go Tigers!

What time of year do they usually start biting better? Is it possible to get on em in the summer?

Normally for us we start labor day weekend and go through till middle of December
