Yes! The Honey Combs - Have I the Right, and Cyrkle - Red Rubber Ball or even Dave Clark Five. They all have the same feel, to me. It's definitely a fun factor. That's what I have always felt about the Beatles too, fun and joy. Love your reactions!! ✌️❤️
First time I heard this song, it was by UK singer Crispian St Peters in late 1965. We Five apparently recorded it a few months earlier. I like both versions.
Great song! We Five was a 1960's folk rock band. This song "You Were On My Mind" was their biggest hit. It was first recorded by Ian & Sylvia Tyson in 1961.
Great song 👍👍
Love this little song! I play this myself on guitar! Had a crush on the singer lol! Thanks
Boy, this one brings me waaaaay back!
another song i've loved since i was a child in the 60s. such a great song to sing along with, you can really let go! thank you so much!
You should try listening to a band called The Fireflies and their song called ( You Were Mine ) and the reply song by The Paulette Sisters and there song ( I Was Yours)
Outstanding Song.. Another good one "Let's Get Together" live - ua-cam.com/video/eZtquwNlt5I/v-deo.html - few years before Youngbloods "Get Together".
Brings back nice memories of childhood. I was 9
Well Stan, I've been a subscriber for quite awhile, and this takes me back to when I was about 12 years old (I think)! Anyway, I'm 70 years old now, and have fond memories of this song (and yes, I can still remember that many years ago), but I never knew that the lead singer was a female! I guess we never get too old to learn something! Nice work!
Thank you for watching
This is the first song ever written by Sylvia Fricker in 1961 (later to become Sylvia Tyson when she married Ian). Ian and Sylvia recorded it in 1963 and released in 1964, a year before We Five released their mangled version. We Five murdered the words and the melody. So I love Ian and Sylvia's elegant version and detest We Five's mangled offering that eliminated some of the most important original lyrics of this song.
