- It’s not been two weeks since I’ve returned from Italy - and from my first ever experience with the legendary Mille Miglia - and I’m still struggling with how to describe it to people who ask about the trip. Not great for a writer, I know.
The idea is easy. Mille Miglia is a recreation of a road race that occurred from 1927 to 1957, when competitors in the greatest sports cars of the time blasted from Brescia in the north of Italy, southwest to Rome, and back again. Then, the race wound through public streets at a bloodthirsty pace (literally, in many cases) and the winner was determined entirely by the time from start to finish. Today, the competition takes place within the bounds of a regularity rally format - where drivers must achieve a predesignated average pace between stages - and entrants limited to vehicles that were eligible in the original 30-year run.

PS we just came back from our 3 weeks vacation in Italy and yes, farm tractors are everywhere, especially in Tuscany, on tight twisty roads 🚜 😆

the new headlight’s definitely grew on me, especially on the QV models. the one thing i would say they should’ve done with this particular car is have the exposed carbon roof, wing mirrors, seats, grille standard.
Carbon mirrors and grille are standard on the 100th Anniversary edition, which is only a cosmetic pack. You can option the roof, but not the Sparco seats or carbo-ceramic brakes. You can still can have those on the standard Quadrifoglio.
One other thing: this wheel is the only option I believe. The other wheel, which is admittedly not as beautiful, is forged. They should have forged this special "five leaf clover" wheel or offered the better forged wheel as an option.
@@italianstallion399 the 100° Anniversario edition can't be optioned with the forged Tecnico wheel (by Fuchs of Germany) either, but it is still available on the standard Quadrifoglio. The 5-hole/Alfa dial wheel here is made in Thailand. Both wheels are no longer available in silver.

This is nowhere near a first drive review. The Italian version is better. Sorry. (p.s. this Anniversario was only available in Montreal green, Etna red and Vulcano black. Not Misano blue as mentioned in the video).
