    You nailed it with the neglect statement. We've talked about it before. These old tractors go on and on as long as they're taken care of. Jerry Mezz was great about it. Climate control and his own mechanic. Well worth traveling to Iowa and was blessed to meet him and see his collection. One more thought about your clover field. Could fence it in and raise a couple of beef calves. Just an idea.

    Great to see you out enjoying the sunny weather. It doesn't seem that we get enough of that in the area (from NE Ohio) but I love it here! I miss mowing with the ....950 with a 7' flail mower. It had the middle weight hammer/knives on it, but would probably do a great job on mulching if you dropped a gear to slow down a bit. I mowed at an 80acre faculty so it was a life saver, plus it rolled the lawn flat every time you mowed. Not sure how many HP that Yanmar 3 cylinder diesel was but it was quiet and smooth even if not really strong. Wish I had that thing it was 20 years old when I used it and was in great shape. That was one of the best jobs I had! As long as I could leave that damn line trimmer in the shop! Those duels would help a lot if you found a wet spot! Do all or most of the Farmalls have a diff lock?

    • @FarmallFanatic

    I like both to wide front and narrow front end on an farmall H and the farmall H that was the first tractor that I drove at my grandparents house no power steering it was a tremendous tractor to drive but when I drove it home it would shoot fire a foot high out of the exhaust pipe and it was the best running tractor that I had the pleasure to drive 👍👍👍👍

    We call em telephone poles in Missouri too, even though the telephone cable was mostly moved underground years ago. The sharpshooters just can't help themselves, I guess.

    The Cub and H do a great job. Our H had low oil pressure when it warmed up too. But I tried to start it last winter and got NO oil pressure. So We will investigate as to why. Oftentimes it is because the bearings are worn, but not always. Maybe there's not as much wrong with your H as you think.

    • @tyfrank3427
      @tyfrank3427 9 місяців тому

      @@FarmallFanatic 30 is plenty heavy enough. It could be the relief valve and it could be a weak oil pump. And bad bearings but not when you lose oil pressure entirely.
