😃Away back in my young years early 50's lucky just to have a baler and man power to load by hand and forks on a wagon or flat bed truck. Great video thanks for posting.
@@farmerpete A heaping load of loose hay was the equivalent of 5 to 8 small bales. I didn't consider it hard work. It was time consuming. Making hay had a pleasant magical feel if the weather held.
Great footage and set-up! There's no mistaking that Farmall 4 cylinder engine. No farmer where I grew up here in central N.C. had that wagon unless there wasn't a teenage boy around within 15 miles or so...lol! Helped get up a lot of hay but always hated the ''bean hay''. Better than tying sacks on a pull-type combine though, I guess! Thanks!
Good to see those Ol' Workhorses out in the field still getting things done. You too Farmer Pete. 😁 Looked like some really nice hay that you put up there. Keep up the good work there. 👍🏻 ROCK ON FARMER PETE!!!!!
I really enjoyed the video, Pete. I've always liked the way the Farmall 450 looks, especially with the wide front end. It looked cool running that baler. I'm still impressed with the size of windrows your NH baler eats!
Good day Pete. Nice video using 50's tractor. Draw back with 1 man alone hooking wagon without adjustable tongue. Sometime when not busy watch Tye Frank from Alberta IH manwithover 100 tractor, right now he has 450 wheatland. Thanks
farmall 450 and new holland baler thats a tough combo to beat looks like really nice hay , haven't heard anything about the 1486 waiting for a diagnosis
Love it Mr Pete, you sure have some nice equipment for making hay!! Nothing like seeing the older Tractors still putting in work!! The more and more I see that 450 the more I am really liking it!! Hope all went well, and you got in what you needed too!! Has to be tuff being by yourself, but it sure doesn't show!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! Looking fwd to seeing what's next!! Btw, I love the footage and camera angles as well sir 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
I see some openings in the woods adjacent to your hay field..was that pasture back in the day? Any plans on resurrecting that back to a field? Great video as always on great ground. P.S. I have been at the White Pig Tavern...I think they have a two-headed calf there.
That is still pasture. My heard is small enough now that it doesn’t put much of a dent in it. Your one up on me if you’ve been to that tavern, shirt was given to me.
Great equipment thanks for the videos.
Looking good Pete thanks for the videos!!!!
Thanks!
Glad to see your video. I remember when those tractors were New Models!
Thanks! I tell people I like tractors that are the same age as me.
Hey thanks for the video, very much enjoyed watching! I like watching it shoot up in the trailer!
Thanks Scott! It is fun watching them fly back there.
Looks like you had really nice weather for making hay. That 450 is the perfect size for a lot of jobs.
Yes, it was a really nice day and the hay turned out well.
Really enjoyed seeing those tractors at work! I hope the AC isn't broken...
Thanks! Been a few years since I’ve baled with the 450, felt like putting it on the baler that day.
The farmall 450s are the best classic tractors in its line
Hadir menyimak bosku.salam silaturohmi semoga melimpah riskinya dan tambah maju chanelnya....
Excellent video. Fine machines you got there, hay looks good too...👍
Thanks! The hay turned out really nice.

Things hadn't changed much in the 60s where I come from.
My Grandfather used to tell me he thought they had it made when they got a baler, so much easier than putting up loose hay!

Thanks for sharing Pete always good to see these older tractors still in operation 👍🇺🇸
Thanks! They still get the job done.

Thanks! I’ve always thought these big Farmall 4 cylinders are what a tractor is supposed to sound like.
👍👍Nice!
Thanks!

Thanks Charlie! This 316 was NH’s high capacity baler back in it’s day. She will really eat hay.

Thanks Don! I’ll check that out.
Driving that little tractor and the 450 must be fun. My respect to the older farmers not to may young guys doing what we do anymore.
I do enjoy using the 450. Only downside, it’s not easy to get on and off for an old guy with arthritis.

Thanks! The 1486 is waiting it’s turn to get worked on.

Thanks Nelson. I got it all in the barn before it rained that night. It’s possible stubbornness factors into my ability to do this by myself 🙂
@@farmerpete 🤦🤦😁😁😁👍👍👍 Can't blame a man for being honest, it is very inspiring for sure my friend!!
4:45 Now that's a farmer
Yup.
Loved it! Thanks. Does the 450 have power steering?
Yes, it has a char-lynn torque generator and I installed a Saginaw pump.
👍👏👏👏
Thank you!

What model NH baler? Looks like the 273 we had when I was in high school.
That’s a 316. Back in it’s day it was NH’s high capacity model.
