Great videos man. About 10 months ago my partners and I decided to pursue making offroad products as opposed to working on the vehicles, as we were starting to become exhausted from that type of work. Made us hate our own jeeps. Immediately we looked into arc droids and plasma tables, and THANKFULLY, stumbled across your video on the crossfire xr when you first got it. We watched all your videos and by the end of the night it was agreed, it needed to be the XR. And then 2 weeks later, magically, a decently discounted one with low cut hours showed up in Denver. (we're in falcon). Now we are in the beginning stages of protyping and rolling out some products to make money, and I largely think its because of the influence you had on how we viewed the industry. Hard to say if we would have had the confidence to buy the cheapest 4x8 plasma table without your videos. We currently have a deposit placed on a new Titan 25T and are eagerly excited for it :)
I've been with you since the crossfire pro days and still use the Buckethead wet/dry vac you recommended so many years ago. Merry Christmas to you, your family and everyone over there at NTD.
Thank you for demonstrating the XR! 3 years goes by quickly! I saw your first preview of the XR and decided to buy one also. I use it hard. Cutting ar400 plate and thick aluminum. I purchased a silicon cup to deflect the water spray from the z axis. (Ebay has a seller that makes them). Anyhow, the only issue I encountered was the powerder coating peeling off the long rails.. on top mostly. Seems to be a common issue but really doesn't change operation. Was a good purchase!
@@johnw4590 Thanks. I am always super cautious about making purchase recommendations. I would feel terrible if someone spent there money on something I said was worth it and later proved wrong. Glad it worked for you too.
Great video! I have had mine for 2 years with Zero issues. I noticed your jog settings read up to 400ipm, my max reads 300ipm. May I ask how you changed that or has it always been that way? Thank you sir.
I got mine 2 years ago and it only goes up to 300ipm, I’ve had some issues getting it to run that fast, sometimes it skips steps and faults so I don’t jog it that fast, usually run it on 200 or so if I’m traversing.
@@ethankincaid9022 Mine was the same way, anything above 200 would hang up or skip. I moved it from my garage to the shop about 6 months ago and during reassembly I realized I had not cinched down the Y axis rollers on the rails. After reading the instructions again, I was able to jog at 300 with no issues.
Awesome video I have the crossfire pro right now Have over 6,400 cuts so far I am using the hypertherm 45 xp love that plasma Yes it way more money But it’s just worth it if you cut as much as I do … if your just making parts like yourself I would say yes the razor or the best arc are fine But some of my cuts are 13-14 minutes long … I’m ordering the xr in January My pro has been unbelievable … its such a money maker I do all my signs out of .063 5052 billet and they always come out great Can’t wait to get my xr though so i can put full size sheets on and make larger signs $$ 😊 That’s an awesome review as always
@@richsharp1524 thanks for the feedback. I think you nailed it. For production, I have no doubt that the Hypertherm is the way to go. Sounds like you will be printing money with the XR.
