- This video is one of my most significant yet! This is the day I became a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force as an HPSP Scholarship recipient. I am now one step closer to serving my country as a military doctor. Dreams really do come true! I am officially a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force!!!
p.s. Don't worry! I will follow up with a video about my decision to pursue military medicine and the application process in a later video. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this very special moment with me and some very special people, my UF Med family!

You NEVER cease to amaze me! You inspire me so much Brittny and to watch your journey is an absolute honor. I believe in the manifestation of synchronicities... I stumbled upon your page during the first semester of my Sophomore year at Spelman College as a BioChem major. I’ve recently been on a leave of absence due to financial reasons. I’m going to be a neurologist and I told myself that the military would be my best route, school wise. I finally decided the Air Force would be the best branch for me about 2 months ago... and here I am 4 months after leaving Spelman, watching my favorite YouTubing medical student’s video on joining the best military branch and it just made we want to grind even harder because I see that it can be done. Maybe not in the same exact way, but you’ve given me much hope. Best of luck too you! FLY HIGH 💙

Wow thanks! I want to join the Air Force but first I must lose 45 pounds. I plan to finish my degree when I join. Right now, I’m a junior electrical engineer student. However, I can’t afford to continue paying tuition. I can’t wait to join, 10 pounds down and 35 to go.

I've just recently stumbled across your videos, and I fell in love with you. I've dreamt of becoming a doctor as I was growing up, but lost that dream over the past couple of years. I did see on one of your videos you featured someone and he said that if you have a dream to follow it and the bigger the dream the harder you have to grind. My main reason for joining the navy was to have my school paid for and to later return as a naval medical officer. I just want to say first I liked you because you are a young black woman in medical school, but now a young black female (future) medical officer in the U.S. Air force... you are a prime example of the perfect role model! and I would like to personally thank you ma'am.

Congrats! I was wondering if you could post more information on your decision. I really want to go to med school and have been looking at the options. So, if you could make a video on different ways to pay for med school or military career paths in health care!?
