Taking notes in a sketchbook changed my life 🙌🏽 My printer paper would somehow end up damaged or out of order by the time I was done studying
I like using Rhodia pads. They make blank pages and also dot pages (which I recently switched to). Really good quality paper.

I would prefer you giving some tips and advice in videos separate from your vlogs just because it makes it easier to reference and I can re-watch it without having to scroll through a vlog video. Great work though, love your videos.

"Believe and you will achieve", I'll live by this motto everyday until I will reach my career goal to become a plastic surgeon. Your videos give me so much inspiration to get into med school but I still have to get through college first, LOVE your videos.

I just love your videos! and the fact that I did that same drawing for a biology class is so awesome! Many people say I'm crazy for drawing and rewriting my notes. Most people just listen to the lectures and don't take notes. I can't I have to be writing stuff down and have pre-written notes to ask questions and stuff! This makes me want to take Biology again!!

I generally watch day in the life's first thing in the morning to give myself motivation to eat up and get going and can I just say that I love your attitude so much! You're so enthusiastic and it was amazing to see how excited you are to learn!
I am currently at a health disparities internship program, and today at my organization I learned that implicit biases could affect the race/ethnicity of people referred to community care teams from EDs. Also, I enjoy your vlogs! I like that you are speaking more about what you learn in addition to filming the lectures

Whenever I watch college videos, I never fully understand what being a student is like. Sure, some people try to explain it, but I tend to learn through experience. This was super helpful for me!

Why do Med students not use lined paper ? Also who draws so perfectly like that! It's easier to do well in school when you can draw that good wow !
Hey! There are plenty of med students that use lined paper. Many of my classmates do. I just like blank paper because I like to draw things out and lines get in the way sometimes.
What score did you get on your MCAT? What was your undergrad GPA? and what did you major in as an undergrad?

I'm only a freshman in high school but videos like this get me so excited for college! My dad teaches anatomy and physiology and neuropsychology at the college in my town. I'm basically surrounded by college seeing that I live in a college town, some of my swim club teammates are college students, and my dad is a professor. I'm so excited for college though! I think I want to be a med student

I always use printer paper to take notes but always lose half of them. The sketchbook is a great idea.

as a law student I also like writing notes on paper without lines it makes me feel completely in control and it also helps with retention in some strange way , will be buying that book or something similar ! Ahhh lol

i was wondering if you could mention in one of your vlogs the dress at med school. I notice that sometimes people are dressed up or sometimes in scrubs and i was wondering why that was... btw these are my FAVORITE videos to watch!!!
im not in med school yet but I watch a bunch of med school vlogs and I noticed that they are in scrubs during their shifting in the hospital and dressed up during ordinary days especially exam day. I could be wrong though.

I really enjoy your videos! Any "pre-official youtube video" advice for taking the MCAT? Also, about roughly what time do you wake up and head to the gym? Do you do this still if you have a late night of studying? I'm trying to develop a better routine, and I would like to shift my workouts to the early morning in order to maximize my efficiency throughout the rest of the day. Any advice would be much appreciated!!
Hey Katelyn! Thanks for watching and for subscribing to my channel. I like to workout in the mornings because less can get in the way in the morning and it starts my day on the right foot. My unofficial advice for MCAT studying would be to:
1. Start early
2. Establish a routine & plan out your study sessions
3. Do lot's of practice questions
4. Thoroughly analyze the questions you get wrong
5. Take practice exams to assess progress (simulate actual testing conditions)
6. Find resources that work for your learning style
7. Stay positive!

That heart drawing was near perfect
I’m a pa student (done with my 6th week) so I just feel like watching this. I applied to uf. Didn’t get in of course. I’m at nova. Anyways I just love seeing other people. Even if it’s not pa. I have my 3rd physio exam tomorrow. And ha the histology stuff. We had that on our first anatomy exam.. so i remember making like quicker stuff for all that. Also that thing about biases. We have to take a cultural competency class and we are taking that now and it talks about that. We watch videos and talk about different things.
That drawing looks dope! If only I was good at drawing.
If I end up studying Medicine, I'm just going to print the ilustrations hehe.
