      😄 I'm sure you're wiring job was good, but never hurts to check on the polarity because it could cause a fire. So please do check to make sure those little wires are on the right screw. So happy to hear that you saved an old lamp. They deserve love too!! Thank you so much for being with us here on our channel. We appreciate you more than I can say!! ❤

    I love vintage lamps! My husband has rewired quite a few for me I have gotten from auctions. They are some of my favorite treasures.

      That makes my heart happy to hear!! This is our third set of vintage lamps and I love them dearly. And the price of trendy lamps (that everyone has) is far more than a beautiful vintage lamp. Thank you for sharing ❤

      @@the_dauer_diaries do you have auctions in your area? I have gotten so many unique pieces from them over the years, and for no more than $5-$20. Plus they’re fun!

      @@jemmyG15 I'm not sure on the auctions. I never even thought to check. We do find estate sales but I'm going to check to see if we have a local auction. Thank you for suggesting it ❤

    Those lamps are stunning, and the shades are gorgeous for the style of the lamp. Thanks for sharing this tutorial!

      Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I just love those lamps, especially when I learned they are Murano glass after doing some research on them. That was a surprise bonus. They will be featured in an upcoming decorate video. Hope you'll stop by on Thursday to watch. Thank you for being here with us!

      Thank you ❤ I just feel like people shy away from purchasing old lamps because they think they're too hard to fix, but that just isn't so. We have 3 sets of vintage lamps now and I love them all.

    how to you replace the cord when the old cord is missing?

    • @the_dauer_diaries
      @the_dauer_diaries  5 місяців тому

      That's a great question. Most lamps have a channel/tube inside to run the cord/electrical through. You may be able to feed the end through that way. It's hard to say since we don't know what the lamp looks like. You could fish a wire through and then attach the new cord to feed through. I hope that helps 🙂
