It’s 2023 it’s 10:30pm and this is my muse atm. Laughing along and learning! ❤
Thank you
love your accent and cheery nature, despite the bitter cold. Ireland is such a wonderful country with wonderful people.
Great video too, so many thanks.
It was sooo cold while I was working on the car
Thank you for this video
Nice..only thing to remember is the rear and front take different types GL4 and GL5.
What’s the difference?
Nice video guide mr! Hope you didn't catch cold doing this video. Looks like it was chilly where you are. Love the MK1.... i miss mine so much.
I’m from Ireland . And totally love driving this car
Superb content. Great job Steve.
Thank you so much . Always worth giving a new car a full service. The one job I didn’t do myself was new water pump and timing belt. Now I can drive the car knowing I’ve done everything I can to have worry free driving . Thank you for your comment 😀 be sure to subscribe
@@stevenharpervw got an old TT for my son to learn to drive Manual here in Australia. He's keen to do as much as he can to it himself. Your service video is a great place for him to start. We're replacing the rear shocks next and fitting a shim to the gear box.
@@masonhope wow your in deep. The TT is basically a mk4 golf. Probably the last of the easy to work in cars . Yes these cars can give trouble but they are 20+ years of age and may of had questionable Servive history . I buy all the parts from autodoc. You can type in part numbers if you don’t know the name of the part and they are good price . Wishing you and your son loads of fun driving. Follow my Audi TT project playlist for all the how to videos
@@stevenharpervw they’re fun to drive . Other than the lack of space to work on them they look easy enough to work on. Lots a great content out there like yours which should help. I’ll definitely get on to your playlist.
i always keep the oil and reuse it as a thinner mixed with underseal/waxoyl when i do underseal to stop rust under the car
Great idea
Helpful video thank you, question did you replace the washers on the gearbox plugs or just reused the existing ones?
I reused them. 2 years on and they aren’t leaking. Maybe it’s not best practice but that’s what I did
is the haldex oil and filter only featured in quattro model TTs or FWD as well?
Only 4 wheel drive models, it for the clutch pack at the rear of the car to turn on and off the 4 wheel drive
The transfer case doesnt need oil change?
It does , about ever 80-100,000 miles
