Hazet make a special tool for removing the plastic sump plug on these cars. I would not use a screwdriver as the plugs are easy to damage. Also there is a torque setting for the oil filter housing, which is marked on the top of the housing itself. Finally I would not bang the new filter into the housing like you show,, as it is very easy to crush them.

I’ve done 40+ cars by seating the filter like that and never had an issue (I think they seem pretty durable), but we will definitely make sure to warn people to be careful with them in future vids. Most folks we know use a flathead for the sump plug (especially given they should be replaced every change) and when it comes to the oil filter, a tech at our local VW dealer said a quarter turn past snug is more than sufficient, but similarly we should definitely include torque specs for the less experienced in the future.
